Two cables @ 225, but my cables are hot. 600b bronze power supply, if that makes different. I can hold the cables in my hand, but i'm not going to push them further. Best I'm getting is ~2 gh/s per frequency +4gh/s I've got 3 s3's and this is after moving cables around on the 6pins and ssh overclocking 1 so far. 1 @ 225 = 454 gh/s 2 @ 218 = 440 gh/s

Weird thing is, the OC'ed one is doing the best. Obviously shares accepted, but hw errors are lowest, and discarded are the lowest as well. The temps on all machines are right at 40c http://imgur.com/01NWkWj

But with OCing I've been very happy hottest 2 day's in a long time happened to be during my testing and the one that OC'ed well was 39 degrees and very good poolside.

I got my S3 today and got it setup and mining away, but i noticed something wierd in the summery page and dont know if this is a problem or not so i wanted to ask.
Accepted Rejected HW Utility Discarded 4,228 85 5 24 38,145
This is a printout from my summery page and im not sure what the discarded is and why its so high. any explanation would be graetful to a new miner.

Probably a really dumb question here but................ Say a person just ordered 30 S3's and wanted to find a more economical (not in terms of price but in terms of setup )solution to powering them all instead of buy a ton of standard PSU's. Does anyone know of a solution involving a larger power supply unit that could say, power 5 units off it instead of having to have a dozen standard ATX psu's? Looking for something as close to plug and play as possible.... Thanks for not beating me up over a dumb question.

Depends where you live .... if in eu having 240volt you could go for server psu's delivering 2100 watts I am currently trying to find a solution for the dell 2100 psu's if its possible to get a breakout box for them

both units set to 225. 1 get 453gh and the other 425gh which is the same as stock.
btw has anyone figured out how to get rid of the annoying beep. I have set it to false already in settings but they still randomly let out a beep for no apparent reason. I saw the post where the guy put soundproofing over the beeper but there has to be an easier solution.

The earlier trick was to put a tape on the mouth of speaker. But, today Bitmaintech releases a new firmware for S3 and that will have the fix for it. Now the beeper is alerting the very first moment when work is not available from pool. But now with the new firmware it will glow a green LED when its mining fine and the Green LED turn off when no immediate work is available. Even after one minute if no work is available it will start beeping. So update your S3 with the new firmware which can be downloaded from bitmaintech website.

I had one unit that gained 20 GH/s and one that lost 20 GH/s. They have all been running for almost 4 hours since I flashed them.

Today setup process of my S2 showed that you better change the mining pool. Things are looking very interesting - the same pool can be suitable using one internet provider, and discard a lot of shares with just another provider... Latest Kano's firmware made mining on triplemining pool impossible due to big enough amount of rejected/discarded shares, but now S2 is mining on it normally just using another provider...
