There was a fork today at exactly block 2000 which is about a few hours ago. We have since resynced and orphaned all the bad blocks.  We are hashing on the correct chain.

Looking in to the issue now because it's a bit suspect that exactly at block 2000 it forked.  I'm suspecting a bad seed node with a checkpoint or something.

Thank you gentlemen,

Was there a premine?

0% premine

Please read this infos which I collected in one post:

Fun that people didn't read thread and posted bullshit.

Few quotes:

Does this coin have a premine?

I would assume no since it's not revealed in the OP, but fair question.

No premine on the coin

We have 0 coins fyi to those asking. We will be operating on donations. As some noticed we discussed this coin long ago and best way to do it. If you appreciate our work please donate some pesa to the donation address on the op. This will fund the dev teams efforts. After looking at premines instamine and other options, we felt it would be best to have the community decide if we are worth the effort.

To those asking about anon, we already have the code done and integration is in progress. No masternodes needed, all decentralized. Currently we have mined 0 coins and have 0 coins so please donate based on your perception of our work.

Smart contracts will be more important than anon in the long run than the other features so please hold your horses while we embed them inside the client.

Only one question, where's Dev?

Right here, sorry if I'm not answering all of the questions or concerns. I've been busy outside of Pesa, but I should be able to be much more active on the project now. Expect regular updates and a few changes to the wallet soon. The OP now includes a Mac Wallet compiled by a user from the forums. I'm setting up a temporary website now, with a full website started. It seems that provenceday has posted a blockchain explorer, so feel free to throw some donations his way. Thanks for sticking around everyone, I'm excited to see where this goes.

ok, I truly believe this dev is the real deal.  Do a little investigating through github and you will find our dev and his linkedin profile.

This shit is going to the moon.....

edit: I will give you a hint...... MAX........

sorry  do you mean this guy?

There was a fork today exactly at block 2000. Looking at the code right now to see why this happened because it was not a connectivity issue and to have it happen exactly at block 2000 is a bit odd.

The problem has been fixed now and the blockchain resynced. We are hashing on the correct chain now.

tl;dr

Are you saying he just cloned the wallet? How is that a problem? GUE had a clean wallet and a lot of people have emulated it. If he had created the wallet himself, all of his other wallets would pretty much have the same signature so this is a moot point.

If this guy really is the same Mac McLaughlin that works for Fibonacci (and all signs point to yes) then it's more likely that he isn't making mistakes at all. He probably had his website shut off to prevent people from knowing who he was before the big reveal. He seems very well spoken from his previous posts and does not strike me as your typical dev who doesn't know where to place a comma or form a sentence. I imagine he's accumulating coins.

I am not trying to fud, but shouldn't the block reward be 2500 after the halving? It seems the block reward is currently 3333.33333333? Am I missing something? http://pes.blockexplorer.cc/chain/Pesa

Seemingly the reward was divided by 1.5 instead of 2.
