Up for sale is a Hero/Legendary account that as of July 3, 2016 meets the following criteria:
730+ activity -- Is either a Legendary account or a Hero account that can potentially become Legendary at any timePositive TrustIn DefaultTrust network (level 2)No trust exclusionsNo negative/neutral trust whatsoeverSigned message transferring ownership available
Asking Price: 1.35BTC
Escrow is accepted
The fact that ownership of the account has transferred will remain confidential to the extent that I do not see the account engaging in any activity that is clearly (in my eyes) a clear scam attempt. If I see what I believe to be a clear scam attempt then I will call it out as being a sold account, otherwise the sale will remain confidential. Closed long ago.

You hardly will get more than 0.5(what most sellers ask), mainly because you can get at most 0.4/month on primedice signature with a Senior.
I've seen Senions accounts sold by around 0.3-0.35, but without avatar.

my price is appropriate. The account is worth every bit of my asking price although I am willing to discuss offers. I can see by your prime dice signature that you are trying to pad your post count

You cannot change the avatar, however IMO the avatar on the account is pretty cool and is somewhat bitcoin related.

What's the advantage of an account carrying an avatar versus without? Serious question, always wondered what the benefits are in practice

No at all i think...but to me personally it makes me easier to remember users and it gives them a bit more attention than the ones without avatar.

Do accounts with neg trust ever sell for anything?
Most likely not. The main reasons that people buy accounts is because of signature campaigns and for SEO. Negative trust will almost always disqualify you from a signature campaign because the OP of the signature campaign doesn't want that negativity associated with what they are selling via their signature. People buying accounts for SEO and social media optimization will not want to use negative trust accounts for the same reason, at least not accounts that have "trusted' negative trust.

Most people that have posted in here are just answering questions asked by newbies. The vast majority of deals happen via PM and will never post on this thread. The reason for this is because people like you try to crusade against purchased accounts.

Maybe it would be better to legalize that in a way that all purchased accounts would be on a list. And people could check that if someone who is making shady movements is on that list... Then it would means he is not trustworthy and banned forever. I think it would discontinued scams attempts.

Then it would means he is not trustworthy and banned forever. I think it would discontinued scams attempts. It is not possible to maintain an accurate list like this. Someone could simply buy accounts via PM or off the forum if they wanted to keep their new account off the list. If you want to avoid getting scammed then you should approach any potential transaction with skepticism and always use escrow. The sale of accounts also prevents people from wanting to scam in the first place. If someone wants to scam there is no guarantee it will be successful and if it is not then the account looses essentially all of it's value. On the other hand someone can simply sell their account and receive more of a 'guaranteed' payout.

In addition to scams in trades, these accounts can be used for scam ICOs, coordinated pumps, any amount of psychological manipulation imaginable. Why the mods here would tolerate such potential misuse of the forum is beyond me, especially when it comes to something as serious as money. I don't care about the signature campaign aspect so much. If website owners want to pay some unimaginative goons to spam this forum with semi-intelligent blather on their behalf, its their BTC. I'm more on the lookout for collusion to make certain coins look more popular or trustworthy than they actually are. Call it a hobby.

Because there is no way of prevent this situation. They can of course make a rule against it, but then all sellers will just move to other forums or sites to announce their trades. So admins here are just ok with it because that is the easier way.

Easier for who? I've been banned and had my posts removed for extremely trivial things compared to impersonating another user, so, I don't buy that they don't have enough time to monitor the situation. All account trading should be banned. They should at least attempt to make it more difficult.

Bump
What accounts are you selling? Can you list them so people who left positive feedback for them have the chance to remove it? It seems pretty ethically dubious to sell accounts with positive trust ratings when the trust was left for that user and not your buyer. Your buyer could be a total scammer, now it appears he has a positive trust rating because he bought one of your accounts. Not cool.

Is there any problem with buying/selling accounts on this forum?

For transparency's sake, and to prove that I am the new owner, I am posting here of a purchase I made. I paid BTC0.15 to Quickseller for the ownership of the account bobolini. Bitcoin TXID is 027fb3debbcdbd49e3a2de372ac76f73e8bffb05efa094c0a946317732548cdb.
Quickseller, please confirm this for full transparency. I will also be quoting this post from the account of bobolini.

So is it ok to sell accounts on here? I have an unused one from late 2011, is it worth anything?
No, its not. I mean, the moderators allow it, but I and a bunch of other people will forever see you as a dirty shitbag, and will never trust this account or any other account you were ever associated with. Because its the right thing to do. This question was not actually asked by anyone. Your answer is also incorrect. The sale of accounts is allowed as per forum rules. There are many legit reasons to engage in the sale of accounts that you clearly do not care about.

My cheapest hero costs 2.3 BTCCan you do an account for $10 which has atleast 30 activity.
I can sell an account with 30 activity for ~$15 (the actual price is .04) but I may be able to come down a little bit for you. I will PM both of you.

I would suggest you create a new account and list it for sale without revealing its identity. I very much do not want anything that can automatically make posts, that would probably get me in more trouble then it's worth lol.

Be careful, ACCTseller and Quickseller are the same person. They sell disputed/ hacked accounts and then take no responsibility afterwards. You cannot participate in signature campaigns with negative rep. THERE IS NO ROI. I have now lost 1.1 BTC to this fraud.A SCAM thread has been opened: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=884261.0

You still haven't responded to my response from 5 seconds ago! That must mean you can't address it!!! Get a life. Just because I haven't responded within minutes doesn't mean I will not address your pathetic questions. You sell accounts that are under dispute by their original owners which is a red flag for negative reputation. You knew this account was under dispute yet you still sold it to me. I'm simply an unhappy customer who wants their money back due to fraud.

Why wouldn't you just PM this instead of asking here? Doesn't make sense to publicly request a PM when you could put the same amount of effort into just doing it yourself. All you're doing is advertising the fact that you're trying to buy an account which some people will frown upon.

I think 0.44 BTC is too high for a senior member account, I wish you good luck on your sales I will send you a PM, however my prices can be negotiated. Based on PD's previous rates and bit-x's rates you would be able to ROI with a senior member by only making 440 posts (constructive) and after that all your earnings will be pure profit

People do not want to wait for the several months up to a year to get a higher ranking account. The higher ranking accounts can potentially earn a lot of money by participating in signature deals.

I am not sure why other sellers are willing to sell for that little, they probably have very low quality posts, that is at least my experience when people sell for very little. The member accounts that I have really aren't for sale however I woold take .1 each for them. I believe they can become full members just by posting and have very high quality posts and know what they are talking about.

Your offer is much too low I know guys who were selling member accounts for 0.01BTC and right now people are willing to sell it for 0.02BTC. After all its just a member account. At what price will you sell one of those accounts? And are you buying member accounts too? I am not sure why other sellers are willing to sell for that little, they probably have very low quality posts, that is at least my experience when people sell for very little. The member accounts that I have really aren't for sale however I woold take .1 each for them. I believe they can become full members just by posting and have very high quality posts and know what they are talking about. I am genuinely interested in buying that kind of account for 0.05BTC. I hope you have extras which you can sell at that rate.

I can make less then 60 posts on them for them to be worth 50% more.

Why would/do people buy accounts? Can't hey just make a new account for themselves? They want to buy accounts so they can participate in signature deals (primarily). It takes several months to rank up to full member or member status, or senior member status and the signature deals tend to pay more for higher ranking accounts. Additionally higher ranking accounts are able to post more frequently (if you create a new account then you need to wait 360 seconds between posts which is very annoying). Additionally there is some level of respect that people get when they have higher ranking accounts verses when they use a newbie account.

People can scam with any level account, people can build up their own accounts to scam if they wanted to. The trading of accounts takes away the incentive to scam because doing so would remove the value from their account.

Unless its you who bought it and are trying to boost it to Hero and bump your thread at the same time.

I don't however like questions unanswered on my thread (except for extreme trolling in which case I really have no choice but to ignore them). I also try to answer questions ASAP to avoid the "free bump" issue.

Well, I would say you are entitled to it if the question is not being asked by you. I am curious, you spent some time and effort to communicate with him (you mentioned you carried the conversation to PM). Were you aware that this was a recently bought account?

Even ignoring the "free bump" issue it is bad customer service to make people wait. the conversation quickly fizzled. However I looked at it and I don't think it was purchased. You can PM me if you want me to tell you why I think this.

I got that account via my lending thread. The guy scammed both me and another lender (who said he took the account as collateral but really did not). It is my understanding that the trust can be removed for .15 to the other lender. I will send you a pm

I can understand why the price is high for you. Don't troll here. You are justing trying to shake his business as you hot nwgative trust from him. It is like trying to bring down a building with barr hands! Many have been sold AFAIK. It's not a high price and most of the buyers who bought accounts sold at lower price were scammed. ~~MZ~~

I am fairly certain that you cannot get accounts at a lower rate, at least not ones without negative trust as BadBear tends to give all your accounts negative trust
As mentioned above you are just upset about me giving you negative trust
My prices are fair and there is a demand for my accounts at ht price I sell for.

**special** buy my entire inventory for 5.85 BTC. It will include all accounts in the OP plus 9 Junior member accounts that can et 80+ activity by just posting and 15 newbie accounts with between 4 and 13 posts each. **limited time offer***
There has been an increase in account selling threads and now this. Is there a particular reason, or is it only due to PD not happening?

Yes I have actually sold hero accounts for more then that. Reasons why people would want to spend that much for a hero account would include to participate in signature campaigns, to have significantly lower waiting times between the time they need to wait between posting, to get the "status" of a hero among many other reasons.

How much waiting time does Heroes have? I can't imagine that's much of a factor in buying one seeing as i never even encounter any problems being a full member. I think most people will buy Heroes for the prestige or trust of having or being one. One bitcoin is a lot of money for a forum account, though.

It takes roughly 18 months to become a hero assuming that you make at least 1 post every two weeks and have a total of 480 posts or more.
I also have several senior accounts available that will become heros in a few months (already have almost and over 400 activity) for a lot less then the price of a hero.

Interesting that the forum allows such activity that clearly degrades its own reputation... There are plenty of valid reasons that accounts are traded. The demand for accounts is primarily driven by signature campaigns, but also by the fact that users need to wait significant amounts of time between making posts when they first join the forum. Additionally the fact that account trading is allowed reduces the number of scams because someone who is in need of funds could sell their account instead of attempting to pull off a scam.

If someone needs money and there is no way to extract value from from their account then they would have no choice but to resort to attempt to scam. If someone were to pay money to buy an established account and try to scam then it is possible that they would not succeed in scamming but would have their account marked with negative trust which would essentially mean they would have waisted the money they just spend buying the account

The only reason a person would spend money on a bitcointalk forum account like this is for some kind of deception-- to make it appear like they are someone they are not (someone more trustworthy and longstanding).
Thus the motive behind this entire thread is dishonesty, whether stated directly or not.
Aside from being dishonest, it undermines all bitcointalk user accounts by making their longevity and activity less credible.
Shame on you OP for passively supporting dishonesty and potential criminal behavior. I'm surprised this is allowed here.

Given you were so keen to make fallacious arguments on my thread, I was surprised to see you are an account seller. Your reasoning skills are even worse here, where you indicate that you have access to the thoughts and motives of people that buy your accounts.
Should I say that the feedback you have is most likely false because you have so many accounts and therefore left feedback from one of those? My evidence is good, based on my own view of the nature of someone I don't know.

Your account would be worth a bit more than average full member accounts since you have an avatar. I have sent a PM to you regarding purchase of accounts.
Thanks!

Seniors seem to be going for around that price but I guess having an avatar makes it a little more valuable but most people don't care about avatars from what I gather as most buy them for signature campaign earnings and they're irrelevant for that.

I would say an account with an avatar is probably worth somewhere between .02 and .05 more then a non-avatar account, although once the new forum comes out everyone should be able to have avatars again. @Berau - I got your email and replied, however again you do not need to post whenever you send a PM or an email.

You were given negative trust because it was discovered that you are a scammer. You were given the opportunity to repay the people you stole from in order to get the negative trust removed from your account however you have not done so.

How do you handle account bans? If someone buys your account and gets banned, then all the accounts get compromised as there is no way to know for sure that the account was really sold.

I have sold accounts in the past where the buyer immediately started making dozens of spammy posts, and was quickly banned. None of my other accounts were affected. I think it is pretty fair to say that BadBear is pretty good at detecting when an account was sold.

You would obviously disagree to this, but not doing this creates a loophole.

You would obviously disagree to this, but not doing this creates a loophole. It shouldn't be too difficult to tell if an account is sold, especially if the posting habits changes substantially. It is also not difficult to tell when an account is sold, especially considering the fact that most people who are going to get banned for signature spam are not going to go out of their way to hide the fact that their account is banned. Edit: the fact that I have a reputation of putting in a lot of effort into what I post likely is going to give me additional credibility when it comes to these decisions. Also if you are curious, yes people have likely tried to get me banned by buying multiple accounts and then immediately started posting large amounts of shit posts in a very short amount of time. I was notified by the person that purchased them that they were banned for 14 days within an hour (they had probably made ~150 one liners in that time) and no none of my other accounts that I own were affected.

I wasn't but now I am. You are saying someone deliberately bought accounts from you to get you banned? Considering that you ended getting paid, it was a double failure then. If I had to guess I would pick Zedicus.

If I had to guess I would pick Zedicus. It was not zedicus. It was more recently and it was from someone whose identity that I am fairly certain is different then zedicus. However someone i believe is the same person who purchased zedicus faked a scam immediately after buying an account from me but he ended up fake resolving the scam. I am not 100% sure this was their intention however based on their actions immediately after they bought it and the fact that they tried to get me to buy the accounts back at a discount (which would very much make it look like it was me spamming) after they were banned makes me believe this was his goal.

What kind of loser idiot buys accounts?
Why not just start your own account?
Anything else is stupid, shady business. And you should be ashamed of yourself for helping to promote evil.
The people who don't want to create a new account and have some bitcoin prefer to but an high, established & clean forum account from Quickseller (very trusted user). The purpose is the signature campaign, but I don't think the will rest for ever.

I think most people buy accounts to use in signature campaigns and get more bitcoins. It takes a long time to get to senior member to earn a lot more. So when it's just used for that it's not a big problem, I think. But this helps scammers too. And it's even worse for people that sell accounts with +trust. : / Account sellers should at least follow the accounts they sell and try to avoid problems.

Evil? You must be trolling. I guess some people find account selling shady or a bit dodgy but it's not really that bad as long as you aren't selling hacked accounts. To get decent money from signature campaigns you need a higher ranked account such as a Full Member or Senior and the latter takes 8 months to create by yourself so that's why some people buy them to bypass the wait and earn big money straight away.

Wasn't nothing against them, I've had successful transactions with them before, and with you, so I was kinda surprised when they said that they wouldn't use you because of some of the feedback you had. Again I am not saying he knows they might be hacked, stolen what ever you want to call it. But by selling accounts he is part of the problem. Its like this you wouldn't buy a stolen expensive watch on the street (not knowing its stolen of course) why would you buy accounts that could be stolen? Quick seller should be held accountable to some degree. How about making account buying and selling banned. This should reuse the issues I bought an account way back and got screwed for it. I don't use at all.

The accounts that I have sold were not hacked prior to me selling them as I took the proper precautions to ensure that was not the case prior to me purchasing them. Although I cannot guarantee that the new owners took care of their passwords after they purchased them from me.

@onewiseguy I don't think banning account selling and buying helps. : / Anyone that wanted to do it could go on other sites. Like this at least everyone knows it happens, and some accounts are easy to see that were sold. But I think sellers should help prevent scams from accounts they sold, or be held accountable to some degree as you say.

@Quickseller, What's the best price for buying a Member account? Please reply to this thinking that you are me, I am asking this due to a reason I will let you know later.
it really depends on how quickly you want the account and the quality of posts you need the account to have. If you want a really good account with good posts quickly then you should expect to pay .05 to .07 but if you don't mind some giveaway posts then you might be able to get one for .01 to .03 Testing edit.

He didn't have no btc til next week he said for a member account, so I gave him a jr. member account for free. Should be enough for him since he said that he hadn't been on here before. It will get him over the 5 minute posting rule anyways. I won't disclose the name of the account unless he says its ok, but if a issue arises, and I'm almost positive it won't since I've had possession of it for almost a month now and nothing has been messaged to the account or posted about it. I have a signed message from the seller as well. But I did tell "wildguess" that if he had any concerns just make a post I'd verify it.

Don't post the name of the account you gave me, but thanks though for such a help. I will give you a tip as soon as I get my BTC 3 days ahead (I said a week but I even said that my friend will give me some BTC after 3 days ).

I can assure you that you will not be able to figure out which account I am selling. My description was intentionally vague, and I intentionally am not going to update if/when it becomes legendary, even if it was legendary to start.

You don't know if the account was even a hero account when I started selling it I am confident you will not figure out which account I am selling. It is interesting that you think that Mobius is the account I might be selling though.

Bump. It is funny that I just had a 6 year-old post deleted from this thread by a moderator (it happened about 10 minutes ago). For the record, I still think account selling is bad. If somebody wants to sell their own account and make all the details about the transaction public, then that is a different story. But being a professional account seller remains a dirty enterprise.

*edit* I posted above (duh)Not sure why I'm seeing this post. I'm wondering why you'd feel the need to necro post a probably off topic post... But don't just take my word for it... "Necro posting" is frowned upon, but only because there is usually no new useful information for that thread.
If you are reviving an old thread, and it is relevant to the thread, I can't see why that would be an issue!
If you've already said selling UID's is bad, then you have nothing new to add to the thread.
