From a (my) marketing perspective.
BitcoinDark = Bad name. Just as bad as Darkcoin.
Darkcoin's Darksend = Centralized masternodes, not good at all.
Bitshares TITAN = Could catch on in the future, but the whole system is in a testing phase. However I really like Bitshares, the idea and what Daniel and his team is trying to create.
Monero = The best name, good distribution of coins to a lot of holders and many small players. Very good anonymous features. Many developers and cryptographers love it. I personally love the name and the fact that is anonymous.

Monero wins out of all the current alt coins listed in this thread by far.

Why is that?

Based on what BitShares is bringing to the table besides TITAN it appears to be a home run.  Who else is creating a decentralized market with pegs on main trading pairs?

Due diligence:

Titan
http://wiki.bitshares.org/index.php/TITAN

DPOS algorithm
http://wiki.bitshares.org/index.php/DPOS

Last but not least the market based trading, think bitUSD, bitGold, bitSilver etc...
http://wiki.bitshares.org/index.php/Bitshares_X

Let's talk Bitcoin! episode 129.  Starts around 12 minute mark with the lead dev Dan.  Great listen.

To be honest I think Monero wins......for the moment.
Bitshares has TITAN but it has not been released yet.
Bitcoindark and darkcoins dark send aren't even in the race.

I think ultimately Bitshares will win the arms race because it bring's so much more to the table then just anonymity(DPOS,TITAN,oh and did I mention a complete platform that allows trading of market pegged asset's).
Don't get me wrong Monero is great but It will be interesting to see if it is a one trick pony or if they will expand upon the idea.

*disclaimer I do own some btsx so take my opinions as just that.....opinions.

Titan is nothing else than stealthaddresses, you already know from vertcoin, execoin, darkwallet for bitcoin, monero, boolberry (and all other cn coins).

SX alone doesn't provide anonymity at all.

I guess they gave it a more fancy name solely for marketing purposes.

Very true except for  as the DPOS blockchain allowes for adding the TEMP.PUBLIC_KEY as a  comment to the transaction, the receiver does not need to brute-force  test
if a particular transaction can be spent by him. This is the case for stealth-addresses.
Titan is a basically stealth addresses but also  no need to exchange addresses, instead a Name can be given, ability to encode a message and 'from' data into the transaction for payment details,
the receiver is anonymous to everyone but the sender as for each payment a temporary one-time address is generated.

If you have something you would like to link showing that SX doesn't do the job so to speak I would love to give it a read.
Bitshares never claimed to be the be all end all of anonymity but my argument is that the other coins listed ONLY bring anonymity.

That word is completely unknown in Spain, the birthplace of Spanish.

Maybe it's originally from a Latin country, who knows ...

By the way, perhaps for English speakers "Monero" sound good. But for me, a Castilian speaker sounds horrible.

Excuse my bad English.

After short web search it seems it is Esperanto term meaning currency or coin.
I think for people speaking Slavic language as i do, it sounds pretty good.
