Actually edited the post after seeing you posted again. See ^ there.

@b00s624 Thank you for your interest but after looking at your post history I don't think I can accept you. The majority of your posts are just "bumps" and these will not count as constructive posts so you would never actually reach payout.

As I understand this activity system here, after you write a few more posts, you will be again promoted from Junior to Member, but it may make take up to a few hours to update. So don't worry! Smiley

Basically it depends on if your post count is higher or lower than the number of 2-week periods in which you've posted at least once *14.  If post count is under that value, activity increases every 30 mins or so.  If post count is over that amount, activity increases every 2 weeks on Tuesday.

There is a peculiarity in this system of which not many are well aware (that's why I wrote my post about it). Even if you don't post in a few two week periods (or don't post at all), your activity will start increasing to the maximum possible for your registration date after you begin posting.

I've been through this myself, so you can take it as granted. Wink

Why would it matter if the Junior got in, if he has the sig lol. I think he should be allowed.

I'm not sure I completely understand what you said but I believe what you said is not true.  You had to have made AT LEAST 1 post for each 2 week period for which you can get up to 14 activity rating.  If you post only for 1 two week period, then don't post at all for 3 months, you can't keep making posts and get 14 for each 2 week period you didn't make any posts.

I don't think you're right about this at all.  I made my account over a year ago but went many two week periods without posting.  If what you said was true, then my activity would be senior member already based on my join date.  however, it's not because i didn't post for a long time after my initial posts in my first few weeks.

Have you looked at how campaigns work here at all?
The well paid ones all start at Member. Mainly for these reasons in my opinion:

1. You have to manage to stay here for a while and not get banned to reach "member" status or tagged as a scammer (which seems to be difficult enough for many people already)
2. Generally higher ranked members' opinions are valued more
3. You have to draw the line somewhere. If you make an exception it's unfair to the rest

Also, lower ranked folks can't even put a link in their signature space.  I think that's one of the crucial facts.  About a year ago, anyone could have anything in their signature but newbies and jr members were spamming too much because of the signature campaigns.  At that point, the ability to put a link or large letters in a signature became correlated with rank.

FYI: User Gimmelfarb left the campaign today and came up with a good question which is self-evident in my opinion but apparently not for everyone:

Added this to OP

We will check the quality of your posts. Please do not spam to increase your post count. Really contribute and not just spam offtopic with "+1" "what i listen to" "what i drink/eat/xxx right now".
This might get traffic too but this is not contributing. People could join with all their alt accounts and make facebook type posts in offtopic all day long.

Because this was unclear, he is getting his payout today, will add this to OP.

For the future please refer to OP.

Thanks!

I don't want to do the long quote of the post just above mine, but this is certainly in reply to Gimmelfarb.  I'm really wondering now how many of my posts PRC_May is going to deem "spam" and decide not to pay?

PRC_May, can you help us clarify what your criteria are?

Also, it's a little unclear to me what the motivation for this is, obviously you don't want to pay people to write spammy posts and clutter threads, but from what I can tell, that's not at all what Gimmelfarb was doing.  It seems to me that if Gimmelfarb is intereacting in a normal way in the thread and then people in the thread are seeing the PRC advert, that's something that PRC should be paying for, right?

Help us understand?

In addition to this post above here further clarification:

He didn't need to do a huge fullquote, I've sent this pm before he posted here already:
Good idea, I've added this to OP now.
If offtopic counts people could make alt accounts and talk about what they drink all day long and make easy money.

Since this wasn't entirely clear I'll delist you now and send you the payment for the 12 posts.

Cheers

All either "+1" or general offtopic. And of course their posts in which they apply for another campaign.

Both will be paid out since this situation was apparently not clear enough. (I think it was but whatever, it's even clearer now.)

Wonder if this is considered spam?

What do you mean, obviously a random post with no purpose is considered spam.

Ok, I'm not trying to be dense, but is it that:

1) any posts in the "off-topic" subforum won't be paid

or

2) any posts that you deem "too short" or "too ___" won't be paid

or some combination?

If (2), can you fill in the ___?

Can you take me as a case-study, which of my posts aren't going to be paid?

[snippity snip]

All either "+1" or general offtopic.

Hey, I asked you to de-list me by PM. Not slander me in your thread. Grow some tact.

I invite anyone to take a look at my post history and then tell me I am a spammer. Sheesh.

I'm not sure he's trying to slander you.  And, personally, I appreciate the transparancy from him to tell us that other people are resigning over this issue.  I'm still waiting to see what he says about my post history.
