No guts no glory. Fiat loan incoming any time now. hahahahahahaah.... bitcoin price dropping .... will have to seriously think this when the fiat is in my hands. (I can always return all the money or lend it to someone else.)

You know what even though I don't think it is the best idea to take on a loan for BTC.  I can't help but feel this is the best form of gambling.  I'd almost like to take a small loan and see what happens as an experiment.  A story like that could be very news worthy in the future if Bitcoins takes off.

It's like slow motion dice. That's how I see it.

It's taking me several weeks to secure this loan. I've had earlier ones, but I re-lent those out to another company, and they have been paying my amortizations every month, so at least I have good credit.f

Bitcoin @ under $500 means its the PERFECT time to buy!

Always keep your mind on the big picture, never the small (short term) one.
Now you're sounding like a used car salesman. Bitcoin sells itself. Look at the charts. Anyone can see what's going on here. Look at how many trolls are coming out from under their rocks. There is nothing but good news. Folks are selling because they can't spend bitcoins on their vacations yet. Their loss is our gain. Next year my vacation is on them.

Any significantly advanced cryptocurrency is indistinguishable from Ponzi Tulips.

Couple that with some alt-coins with good potential ... but that's more gambling if you buy into any new coin.

Bitcoin behaves like something in between a fiat currency, a stock, and a commodity. So it's clearly investible. I recommend to everyone I know to invest at least 1% of their net worth into bitcoin and other digital currencies.

However, it's super risky, and there's no way that investing your life savings into bitcoin now or at any time in the past was a wise financial decision, UNLESS, you have/had very little money to begin with.

Why is this? Well, I come from a poker background and common poker wisdom and logic suggest that a poker player with a very small bankroll SHOULD risk it all. This is because they can easily replace their bankroll and get back into the action at the same stakes. Conversely, a player with a large bankroll must be way more conservative (and apply the Kelly Criterion or other methods of managing risk), because if they lose a significant percentage of their bankroll it will take them a long time to get it back, and they'll be foregoing earning potential in the meantime.

e.g.

Investor A earns $50,000/yr and has $1,000 in savings to invest. Well, he can just throw it all into any investment he thinks is a good bet. If he loses, all he has to do is work for a week or so and recoup his lost $1,000.

Investor B has a net worth of $10,000,000 and is a professional investor who's been earning 10% on his portfolio for 10yrs. For this guy to bet it all on bitcoin would be ludicrous, because he'd be risking the chance to keep earning $1,000,000 per year, and he'd be needlessly accepting a small chance that he goes completely bust (risk of ruin).

so I guess the winklevoss and others are stupid and brave for investions tons of there funds into bitcoin am I right?  I mean sheessh they gotta be pretty dumb to do so.

Do you think it's their life savings they're investing? I highly doubt it. And with their kind of money they can afford to risk amounts that are astronomical to most of us.

I think the price decline is mainly due to leverage on bitfinex. There have even been a number of news articles about this.

In regards to the trolls they are only coming out because the price is declining semi-sharply. It is similar to how all the "pumpers" will say "to the moon" whenever bitcoin rises significantly.

Bitfinex did change some rules regarding leverage and the rules will go live on the 18th.

This could be the reason.

I don't think it's smart to invest all you have in anything. Just being a sane person, never put all your eggs in one basket. It's simply not logical to do something like that when you know your future depends on it.

I think that most of all member don't have reading the "extrem money" book ... on this paper, you can view that the "all financial" system is based on fluctuate value and 1/8 cash money (7/8 is virtual debt invoice re-use in many small pieces).

If people think, the system crash ... that why gov. need to inject inflation.

that why bitcoin will and always win at the end.
because you can't spent that you haven't.

I put $500,000 into Bitcoin at $600-$630 so I guess that makes me either brave or stupid, considering I've lost 20% of my investment already.

Here's the proof: 1DDWEQM11uMUKiqpGEWvBT2at3CjCw3Vra

Nevertheless, I am 100% convinced that Bitcoin is heading for $1000 or more in the next few months.  It's always a wild ride in the Bitcoin world.

And if I lose my $500k it's really just a drop in the bucket :-)

Even tho i share your opinion about the price heading back to = or > 1000$, i can imagine why anyone would put that much of money on a single bet.

If that money realy is a drop in the bucket for you, you wont understand my concerns anyways, so i dont know why im bothering ^^

Diversify is smart but if you are young or if your savings is a amount of money compared to your revenues or futures revenues you can take a chance and bet it all in

Even if you are young and have a long time to recoup your potential early losses, putting your eggs in one basket is still a very bad idea. The money that you invest early in your life will grow the most by the time you retire in 50-60 years as it will have the most time to grow.

Best bet if you do plan to go all in please do it over a long period of time and all at once.  That way you have options and are able to buy in for cheaper should the price go much lower.  Even if your going to gamble you do it with a plan to profit and play it safe.  I'm sure many of the experienced traders and gamblers would agree with that in some ways.

Not investment advice of course, I'm just speculating on the best way to go about it..

Are you kidding me?

Again Moriarty?  You scammy pathetic waste of space!

Folks, Moriarty runs the scam network known as the Moriarty Bitcoin Network.  He has a site called BITLAUNDER.com... where he says he will "mix" your coins. Unfortunately, you and him may have different opinions of "mix" because what he does is KEEP them. Yeah, nice MIX.  Look at this email (top left) where he clearly says that the address 1DDWEQM11uMUKiqpGEWvBT2at3CjCw3Vra  is the bitlaunder.com PAYOUT address.  Or you can see full details here :https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=713699.msg8060417#msg8060417

Then he walks around these forums (even after the theft of RickyJames 127btc) and claims:

HEY CLOWN!  You run a mixing service- meaning people send you coins and you mix them (or steal them) and then send them back from your PAYOUT ADDRESS!

This is not you investing... understand?

You did not put 500k into bitcoin.... understand?

You are stupid... understand?

And if you lose 500k and it is a drop in the bucket then STOP STEALING PEOPLE'S MONEY CLOWN!
