If you believe that bitcoin will survive and be widely adopted long term, why would you hold other currencies?
Because, in the offline world, a lot of merchants have not yet heard of Bitcoin. So, if I need to buy something from them, I need to have FIAT in possession. Sad, but true, the internet population is still less than the non-internet population across the globe. So convert only what you need to spend into fiat

96% bitcoin saving economies. 4% in bank (month stupid invoices).
not too bad ... 1 year to convert all (1/8 at 500 euros, 7/8 at 300 euros).

10% of everything you save or 5 to 10% of your overall savings. It depends on what risk you are willing to take and what risk you think you are taking when you buy BTC.

Reading a story from a few years ago where someone invested all their life savings into Bitcoin and started to live off Bitcoin. that guy was a lucky guy as now the price as more than tripled to when he invested in it. Anyone else brave enough to do this?
it needs allot of bravery to actually do this, bitcoin price isn't that stable currently and another dive in price is possible. The guy who bought them before made a good win but this isn't guaranteed at all.

It would be rather stupid to invest all of your money into bitcoin although doesn't mean it wont be a wise investment in the long run.

I don't think that anybody, any financial guru can predict what will happen with bTC in a year, two, 5 years etc. It can be great financial investment or great financial lost. Can anybody be sure about this? I don't think so. so, my advice to everybody is to follow this golden rule. Invest money you can afford to loose only.

You will find people who have invested their college money/ money from sale of house into bitcoin when the price was at $600-$1000 and regret it now. Better not to invest more than what you can lose.

They should be thinking in a 3-10 year time frame. Anyone who put in a big blob expecting a vast payday a handful of months down the line is being naive.

Well to be fair this is what happened to the price of bitcoin in recent years. Up until early this year the price of bitcoin went almost exclusively up. The price also went up by ~15x last November when it crashed to less then $100 then spiked to over $1,200 in well under a month
