I have contacted the person who provided the wallet. And hopefully they can provide an updated one on this new chain. Its a nightmare mess I know :\ just trying to get it all going again.

The new premine has been orphaned as someone updated the wallet but kept their current blockchain. Ultimately this means we can carry on with this chain - but without bounties. We have the new windows wallet, which I will update with OP.

Why do we have to compile the wallet and miner? That should have been done before launching the coin. -1 already for that.
How energy efficient is this compared to out algos? Hope this isn't like Aiden's Scrypt-OG which isn't really energy efficient compared to regular Scrypt.
Why does the qt wallet have a SC logo? Wouldn't it be Neo, NeoC or NC?

Just a reminder to anyone making wallets or such
The premine has been overwritten with the original blockchain because someone didn't remove their old blockchain before updating
Now... we can relaunch from scratch *again*, or just carry on as is without premine bounties.

Use the debug console. Use the command "Setgenerate True X", with X being how many cpu thread you want to mine with. Best to keep one or two free for OS and Gpu mining.

Hi,brother,how to mine?the command?
In wallet, debug, console: setgenerate true should use all your threads... but will use only one for some reason. setgenerate true 1? or setgenerate true -1? Which one is right? setgenerate true What's your problem? it crashes?

Just a reminder to anyone making wallets or such
The premine has been overwritten with the original blockchain because someone didn't remove their old blockchain before updating
Now... we can relaunch from scratch *again*, or just carry on as is without premine bounties.
forget about the premine, keep hashing, and get this coin on exchange asap.

low cpu load. Only 1 thread.
yes, must be a compiler setting. Seeing the same on Win8 64 Pro with AMD FX-6100 6 Core Proc. Downloaded new wallet. Deleted everything related to the old wallet as had no coins. Setgenerate true works but will not use more than one core now matter if I use -1 or specify 4 or 6 threads. Something is broken with the Windows version of the wallets miner it would seem as I can max out the CPU with other wallets. YMMV

Well there's a clue... given that the average cpu core is doing a little over 1 kh/s, if that value is correct then that's 3 million cores on it. Which is not true. So somebody somewhere is mining with something different.

You missed the average cpu hashrate by at least 5 fold. My CPUs give me something over 12Kh/s. EDIT: Oh, and total hashrate is around 3501000 average CPUs. Like 100300-400 better ones.

CPUMiner Now Available see below | Or use wallet only mining - setgenerate true [processes]
For windows: 1. CPUMiner is NOT avaliable (because there is NO compiled miner, not all users are programmers ) 2. Wallet can only use 1 core. DEV! Why you write this "wallet only mining - setgenerate true [processes]"? I think you doesn't check it at all, because you have gpuminer. This coin is SCAM

Firstly, thanks to HankRules for his donation - the Bounties are reopened. (I will be updating OP again soon).
Now, looking at the blocks found, it does seem that a lot (well, relatively) of hashrate appeared on the network suddenly. This could potentially be EC2 cloud instances or such (this happens in most CPU coins, including Monero etc). If someone has made a GPU miner, hopefully they will submit it and obtain the bounty now that the bounties are back.
As for claims of gpu mining myself - if I had the capability to GPU Mine, I would be able to release the gpu mining software itself and thus make this presumably more popular - which would be far more valuable than just mining them on my own.
Currently, I have the premine bounty which is for bounty and services - as my i3 laptop processor isn't exactly high-end, I don't know how many blocks I would find with it.
I am not sure if it is a compilation issue or not, but I know that the source code when compiled on Linux does allow multi-core mining. So maybe the windows version was compiled with a single thread implementation? I didn't make this version, so I cannot confirm this.
If 'ascii' could reply in this thread and let us know if this is the case, we would appreciate it.

My IMHO: This coin is SCAM
"My IMHO" means "My in my humble opinion". The "My" is redundant. Also, would you like us to call the waaahmbulance? The wallet has mined OK on Windows since the beginning, even if it wasn't optimized it still hit blocks no worries.

maybe someone should release a working miner that doesn't crash as soon as you find your first block

I found 4 blocks all around 6 in the morning where I live. Diff is still low and I did not find a single block more in 8,5 hours.
I found 1 block at a win 7 64 computer and I get errors in the wallet since then. I can not mine anymore on this computer. I reinstalled everything but the error continues. It is the same error as mentioned before.
I have 8 core AMD cpu's but I can only use 1 core when mining with wallet.
Also the cpu miner provided can not recognize the algo.

Are you guys sure this cpu miner implements stratum correctly ?
I'm doing some tests on a module for adding a pool but I have some strange issues..

Everything working perfectly in linux. Can't vouch for mac/windows, although I bet the people who jumped on early and are smashing blocks are probably not posting, while the one's who failed are complaining loudly.

Yeah,
I also tried the qtcreator method. Same error. So if someone is mining this they know something that we don't.
I am guessing they know the fix in Linux, and that they also have working windows wallets that mine on all cores. And simple documentation should not be this difficult.
Thus as much as I love CPU coins... Sorry dev. Try again when you are serious.
Outta here...

As per bountyneocortexd sendtoaddress '9iBXhRBWtxYi6PqBwsUpHzwaVFLMjTfU9a' 500 ahmedbodi - great work on the stratum hashes txid: 9d91effb256de17857c7403414f05c5e7cc65c8f217d7466e7f6a6f53f335195 - if i have missed any bounties please let me know - Also, we now need pools! The wallet will no longer start properly after finding a block. Is there a fix for this issue?
Hi, is this the Windows/MAC or Source wallet (or all?) build/neoscrypt.o: In function `neoscrypt': neoscrypt.c:(.text+0x230d): undefined reference to `neoscrypt_pbkdf2_sha256' neoscrypt.c:(.text+0x2343): undefined reference to `neoscrypt_pbkdf2_sha256' collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status I got the same error. Don't know what the problem is Add #define SHA256 1 to the top of the neoscrypt.c file. I will push a github update with this in. Also - if any developers have any suggestions/fixes - feel free to issue push requests via github. Further, the future is really in everyone's hands. How does everyone want this coin to progress?

Biggest risk to the health of the coin is somebody building a GPU miner and not sharing it. If I were you, I'd put all my resources into securing one and holding it until you see fit to release publicly.
I'll match your bounites for the GPU miners
Edit: Are you the developer, or did you pay somebody to do it (hope that's not offensive)?

I'm using Ubuntu 14.04 "blocks" : 5562, "currentblocksize" : 0, "currentblocktx" : 0, "difficulty" : 0.05493244, "errors" : "", "generate" : false, "genproclimit" : -1, "hashespersec" : 0, "networkhashps" : 810650, "pooledtx" : 0, "testnet" : false
Seems to be stuck on block 5562. Deleted .neocortex folder, let it resync, and made it to 5563 and has stayed there
{ "blocks" : 5563, "currentblocksize" : 1000, "currentblocktx" : 0, "difficulty" : 0.05493244, "errors" : "", "generate" : false, "genproclimit" : -1, "hashespersec" : 0, "networkhashps" : 784873, "pooledtx" : 0, "testnet" : false }

Block 5577 now. It's slow because hashrate plummeted and difficulty is taking a lot to readjust. Perhaps difficulty is stuck? "difficulty" : 0.05493244, still after 40+ blocks?

http://www.hashharder.com/neoscrypt/neocortexMining Command: ./minerd -a altscrypt -o stratum+tcp://www.hashharder.com:9620 -u WalletAddress -p x This also works with the OneKey mining system. The pools accepts shares. Hopefully it will find a block also.

hi dev when you go to fix this problem??? Hi, As I understand the issue - the bug only seems related to the current compiled Windows Binary - which 'ASCII' provided. If someone else can provide a better windows binary (less bugs, multi-core support) I will happily send another bounty to this user - after people have tested it. Unfortunately, as we do not have a windows build environment here, we are unable to perform this task ourselves. AFAIK the linux wallet does not suffer from this problem.

I found two blocks on the pool and have not received any payment, I stopped mining from the pool. Started mining solo for a while on Windows but Wallet would crash everytime I found a block, and now I cannot even solo mine any more, wallet just crashes when I start the miner hopefully dev can find a solution for this.

It seems that the payouts dont work for NeoScrypt. I'm going to disable the pool.

If you really are a dev, then you know you could simply create a windows build environment and build the fucking binary in a few hours, as it is clearly needed to roll out anything serious. Lame bro.

It's ok. They're testing the waters for us so to speak... We know it's not ready yet, hence why not even pxc has made the move yet...
This is good though.. We're getting to see Neo in a real world environment now.. Not just a testnet.. So this is very good.
I'm glad this has happened but I just feel a bit sorry for NEOC.. A little too hasty but they're seriously taking one for the team..

I sent a DM to the dev a few days ago but heard nothing back so I suspect it has been abandoned already. This coin can be useful as an experiment for NeoScrypt, however it is just using AltScrypt so it is testing only part of it. It could be hard forked to switch to full NeoScrypt in time via the community.

Its OK.
But I'd like it if people could test out the wallet and let me know if it crashes/breaks and so on - its my first time trying to compile up these wallets, so things may go wrong.
I tested multi-core mining on it, and it seems to work (the GUI bit doesnt, but set generate -1 in debug window does)

Still in development. So far the bounty is : 0.5BTC + 5.5M Ufocoins (UFO going NeoScrypt once Feathercoin goes live with it) see here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=735879.0

You can mine this coin with Scrypt ASIC. It was meant to be released as the first NeoScrypt coin but I think what happened was the coin developer made a mistake and used altscrypt, which is just a reimplementation of scrypt using the neoscrypt libraries. Funny thing was the dev lost his premine and had to rely on someone gifting him the coins If a coin dev wants to take over this coin and hard fork it to NeoScrypt I will offer a pretty decent bounty of NEOC
