Holy shit, that's actually pretty scary. Kaizer, infected by his father, soon passed the virus to two aunts. In all, seven members from three generations died in quick succession.

^^^^ Actually the scariest part is this one: Many relatives of Ebola victims are believed to have carried out secret burials across the region because bodies are simply not picked up in time, or the families do not want to surrender relatives for mass incinerations. It took half an hour down the Mesurado River to reach Kpoto Island, one of many uninhabited islands up a channel called Creek No. 2. With soft, sandy soil, Kpoto has long been used by the poor to bury their dead. Now, freshly dug graves are obvious in the thick bush. It seems that the real death toll from Ebola is much higher than that claimed by the WHO.

If it was a first world nation dealing with this plague Dr. WHO would already have found a vaccine but because it's West Africa the world will just let them keep dying. Sad

The first world is dealing with the situation. They have established an ebola research centre in Liberia and everything is going to plan.

I think the numbers coming out now are crude estimates. It's just to unsafe to get a reliable count in the hot zone. It may have to burn itself out.

As Kaizer lay dying, he said he saw the woman in black who had been beckoning to him in his troubled dreams. He could no longer hide from her, she told him, as those gathered around him prayed loudly in tongues.
Abruptly, Kaizer reached for his neck.
“He said he saw the woman, the spirit, standing over him, choking him,” said Rose Mombo, a church member there. “He was fighting.”
Kaizer, his eyes wide open, burst into tears, spat out something and died.
Interesting.

You bring up a valid point, estimates are just giving an idea on where we stand. Most deaths are in the hot zone so it is safe if you are not in the hot zone. There seems to be less media FUD on the media lately.

Since the infection started to fade out (as %) - due to less new cases - media outlets interestest faded out as well. Probably, Ebola is still in the big news only in the local media of the affected countries (Guinea, Sierra Leone, Liberia).
