Guys, the Bitsend team has a meeting this afternoon to prepare next update, it will likely be posted only after the weekend, monday-wednesday.
Your comments will be taken in account so please have patience.  I have asked to confirm the roadmap is actual, at this point there is no reason to think otherwise.

Notice they have added a Beta login (closed)
http://www.checkcoin.cc/?tmpl=comingsoon

Wishing the Bitsend team and all you guys a happy new year!  Smiley I have a good feeling about 2015, I don't why but 2015 somehow sounds more like the future than 2014 did this time last year. I know it's weird  Cheesy Anyways I believe this will be a good year for CKC  Smiley

The PR has been great, stop worrying guys.

Thanks for your support to the community  Cheesy
There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

Who will have access to the beta?

Closed beta means it's only available to a select few individuals or only company employees.

How about large investors, especially those who were from the beginning?

At the moment there are no invitations for the beta (it hasn't even started yet). If there comes a moment they want volunteers I will ask for interested people here.

Bitsend is way too busy to answer all questions every day, update social media, forum, make translations etc. the weekly update that I post comes directly from the office.

Hey,

Added, looks like a solid coin Smiley
Had to reverse colors for the logo though, always can change if devs want something else (has to be circular though)

So what the dev's are slow rolling us for a big announcement? Or does the roadmap need to be adjusted?

Why would the price have crashed? Nothing wrong going on.
The testing phase is planned to start on the 10th, just chill and wait for a Bitsend update, then you'll evaluate.

In summary, the Intel Management Engine and its applications are a backdoor with total access to and control over the rest of the PC. The ME is a threat to freedom, security, and privacy, and the libreboot project strongly recommends avoiding it entirely. Since recent versions of it can’t be removed, this means avoiding all recent generations of Intel hardware. details https://libreboot.org/faq.html#intelme --- https://tehnoetic.com/laptops --- https://store.vikings.net/x200-ryf-certfied

like i said if a previous message, price did not moved that much because folks are waiting for the next stage...
CkC is in strong hands and the richest didn't move as well.
But if nothing's real is announced ( i mean real announce, not just a message )investors will leave the train ...
I expect to be part of the BETA !!!
Let's see next week ....

So this isn't open source? Is that their long-term plan?

Hi sdersdf3,
A closed beta does not have anything to do whether the software will be open source or not, it just means they will test the software mostly 'in-house'.
What you ask is if it will be released as open source when it's fully developed. I can refer to the below quotes of Maurice from Bitsend.
As you can read Bitsend has a pending patent so it is very unlikely that they will release it as open source anytime soon.

I like the idea a lot. The big questionmark for me is, how is it quaranteed that the technology which is built with the ipo-money will be used with Checkcoin only? Is there anything that would prevent say bitcoin being implemented to this very system? Also should the company BitSend be willing to sell their Geo Software patent out one day, is there any protection for bagholders of Checkcoin?

This is just thinking aloud. First and foremost props for BitSend guys for cool idea!

First of all, thanks for your feedback and questions and asking them here so others who might have the same questions, can read along or find the answer here.

The funds that will be received through the IPO will be used for the Checkcoin project. As the projected cost of the technology and patent is in the 100,000's it is fair to say there will not be much left after the project is completed. The sourcecode of the technology will not be open-source and it would therefore be highly unlikely that another coin would make use of this technology as developers of legitimate coins mostly act out of their own name now and will not want to risk a patent lawsuit. Even if the technology is copied by an anonymous developer it will have far less chance of succes due to the factors of timing (they're not the first to implement it) and the fact that legitimate companies will not go into business with them because of the patent on this technology.

About selling the patent one day, this hasn't even crossed our mind untill now. My first thought goes out to somehow compensating the people who have participated in the IPO as without them, it would have been increasingly more difficult to have realised the project. However, I would like to ask you to please allow us to discuss the matter internally and come back to you with an answer we fully support.
