Bitsend is in search for a skilled designer for the Checkcoin mobile wallet (iOs/Android). They have taken a lot of time for this because they only want the best, someone that fits the budget but who also can make a high standard product that is perfected in the small details. So, in short, the development for which the IPO/CKC occured , hasn't even started despite the/your marvellous roadmap flyer, please clarify what were the BTC you collected used for exactly ? The main effort and purpose of the btc you took was on the mobile target with the gps features. do you confirm there is not yet a single line of code except that darkoin desktop copy/paste ? Was the funding round supposed to fund the "three conversations" ? it is a great beginning, yet , but which should have taken place before any OP...

The team has been giving presentations to several interested companies and institutes with the goal to receive investments in future development stages of Checkcoin. This they want because it may be possible to increase the possibilities and functionalities of Checkcoin substantially and on top of the software that is currently being developed. Such enhancements will cost a lot of extra funds and are only possible to develop with the help of investors. The release of the first CKC GPS-enabled wallet is not affected whether they succeed in this or not, the team is looking way further into the future and developments won't just stop after the first release. At least they don't want to. A creative mind could think of hundreds of applications that could be build around the Checkcoin system and Bitsend is willing to explore these opportunities.

In the first few months after Checkcoin was launched some concerns were raised about GPS-spoofing where a user creates a GPS signal without actually being physically on the location. Bitsend is in talks with several GPS/GPRS developers about the security of the Checkcoin network. To use Checkcoin GPS system, users will need to have a smartphone or device with Assisted_GPS. This system is verifying the real location of users using cell tower data. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Assisted_GPS) This way it will be impossible for users to fake a location and grab the offered coins from faucets from behind their computer elsewhere. This is extremely important and for Bitsend the challenge is in finding the right people to implement the system in the app. More news about this in future updates as well.

i'll give you a hint : A more relevant security threat : it is so easy to create several wallets/adresses on the same device. I would go to one spot, and mutliply the rewards iby the number of wallets in my virtualized android boxes. Enjoy.

Last but not least for now:
The guys from Bitsend will donate 50,000 of their own Checkcoins for community events and bounties. Soon community members will be able to earn CKC's either by simple tasks or by winning contests. ATM we have no proof of the development stage...
I have been holding since day 1 , and the price is better than anythings , price is more than stable if i compare to hundreds of others coins....
I am pretty sure that CKC is in strong hands, this explain the price and the stability.

This coin can still skyrocket and become a Top crypto currency in the next months if everything is done well.

Hi bearbear. Thanks for your comments. The roadmap flyer is still good, your assumption that nothing is being developed is incorrect. The Bitsend team are not the only people working on Checkcoin, they are more producers that manage the project. One thing they do is hiring other professionals to develop for Checkcoin. This is not free of charge. Code is being written by several highly skilled coders. Design is a totally different aspect and as you could have read the team is working on this part as well.  

Almost forgot to mention funds for marketing that will be used after the release. Checkcoin has a long road ahead so not all is spend too quickly.

The Checkcoin project does not need more funding to realize the initial goals as communicated from the start. However to keep developing Checkcoin in the future and enhance the system with a lot more functionalities it would require more funds to do so. You can compare it with projects and even whole companies that build their business or services on top of the Bitcoin blockchain. The same is possible for Checkcoin, as a platform to build upon and grow branches.

I thought to have read it will only be possible to claim coins with only one phone. So to claim multiple times you would need a lot of phones and not just emulators. This issue has been discussed before. You can easily think of other possible solutions such as a timer/frequency when the faucet gives out coins.

There's no hidden premine. The Bitsend team has purchased them personally from the open market exactly for these kind of promotions. You are welcome to donate some coins for giveaways as well.

Could just be the difficulty being volatile, multipools joining and leaving. Now there's a 42 diff block, after it's solved diff is easier and many new blocks will be found in shorter timeframe.

We can discuss this. It should be what the community and the dev team wants.

My personal opinion is the more the better as long as they are reliable enough (do not store all your coins on exchanges!). Every exchange has it's own community of traders that prefer that exchange the most so having a listing may attract new investors and interested people. Also it helps to give people opportunity to trade and do arbitrage, not everyone has access to one of the 5 exchanges we currently have, there is a bigger market out there.

I can ask Bitsend to put up a poll on top of the thread if it's possible and I will ask their opinion too. I hope more people can give their ideas about this. Thanks.
