That would make sense, thank you. Although the difference is now ~0.5 BTC, which would imply 5 BTC of profits was divested. I can't quite connect the dots here yet. The site was up ~15 BTC earlier (from the low point of ~ -3 to ~ +12), so even assuming those who divested started at the low point and bailed at the high point, ONE THIRD of the investment would have to be divested to get the 5 BTC, right? I wish there was more stats available about investment/divestment/commission.

So here's another guess:

The site is kind of odd in how it treats the "invested amount". If you invest 10 and earn 1 in profit, it shows your invested amount as "10" and your profit as "1". There's no way of seeing the "11" without first clicking "divest" which then shows you how much is actually available to divest.

I think if you divest that 11 and reinvest the 10.9 that's left (you pay 0.1 in commission when you divest the 1 BTC profit), your investment will then show 10.9 and your profit will show 0. I think. So the "profit" is shows is "profit that you didn't pay commission on yet" or something like that.

If that is the case (and I'm mostly guessing based on how things look) then the 0.5 difference is 0.5 of profit that was divested, not 10% of 5 BTC of profit that was divested.

That sounds more plausible, right?

I expect we'll get the real story soon...

Sorry for the late response Dooglus is exactly right. The profit you see under Investments is bankroll - total_invested but you have to take into account that when a user Divests the amount (together with profits made) is subtracted from the bankroll thus this 0.5BTC gap there. FYI dooglus is  mostly to blame for this He had a ~ 0.5BTC profit from investing!!

I can understand that most people are having difficulties on differentiating the total amount invested with the "how much my total invested amount is worth?" and I am working on presenting these statistics on a more user-friendly way. Sorry for that. I think it is a weak point that we have to address.

Thank you both. This now makes sense. If you can find a way to show the numbers so it would add up that would be great. Something like "Realized profit: 0.45" and "Commission: 0.05" to bridge the gap.

It's a nice alternative, and currently by far the best casino you can invest in (if there even are others). It's completely fair and we know that, as with PD some think it can be rigged just a tiny bit. The admin is always there to respond in a flash, unlike Primedice's terrible waiting time (usually over 18 hours for me when emailing support). The community is nice and the site is improving bit-by-bit, expect it to rise in the future and possibly replace JD fully.

That is because you divested all before making this last investment. The % of bankroll shows the cut of each investment of the bankroll. Adding all those "% of bankroll" up should equal your total % of bankroll depicted under the Overview of your investments. I hope this clears up things.

What actually does not work? The Remember me persists the session cookie for 1 month. If you delete your cookies then there is no way a website to Remember you.

It's like the dialog initialises with an error message in it, and only once something is returned from the server does it look better.

It's offputting, like something is going wrong when I expect it isn't.

Even if I click on the black 'investments - manage your investments' button in the left column it still doesn't update.

I have to click on 'bet history' and then back to 'investments' to get it to update.

It would be better if it updated as I invested/divested.

Edit: clicking on the "Select type: All | Invest | Divest" radio buttons also triggers an update.

Well, that is a convention. We consider each investment to be a separate entity that has exactly the same weight when you divest. There is no reason to consider the first investment to have greater weight than the second when you divest.

As I see Deb has the profit of the second screenshot. Her % of bankroll is 0.51002609%. The formula that calculates the investment profit of the user is: (% of bankroll * bankroll) - total invested. When another user makes an investment the bankroll and % of bankroll changes and the client (browser) gets notified. If this notification fails to be delivered for some reason (e.g. disconnections) then weird things could happen. My guess is that happened something similar (because I can't verify the first image in any way). Nevertheless I will keep an eye on that.

Note: Statistics that are displayed to the user are stored to an in-memory cache DB and I would like to know if something breaks, i.e. users see funny numbers (though I don't believe this was the case with Deb because a 'page refresh' solved the issue).

The auto-betting at PD is a complete disaster indeed, but the Robot Roll at DiceBitco is far from perfect either. Actually, the maximum number of bets set to 800 makes it practically unusable for long unattended runs (that's what auto-betting is essentially used for). Personally, I don't care about chat, but maybe it's just me.
