http://blogs.reuters.com/great-debate/2014/07/25/israels-iron-dome-is-more-like-an-iron-sieve/

"Ted Postol, a physicist at the university and an expert in missiles and missile defenses, has found evidence that only about 5 percent of Iron Dome engagements result in the targeted rocket being destroyed or even sufficiently damaged to disable its explosive warhead. In the other 95 percent of cases, the interceptor either misses entirely or just lightly damages the enemy munition, allowing the rocket’s intact warhead to continue arcing toward the ground."

That shows how much of an none expert he is.

Iron Dome only fires at rockets that are going to land in populated areas, if it is projected to land in an open field it won't intercept it.

http://news.nationalpost.com/2014/07/11/how-israels-iron-dome-defence-system-has-an-almost-90-success-rate-amid-deluge-of-hamas-rockets/

Not to mention the endless witnesses who saw with their own eyes the interceptions (me included) and of course the small fact that the amount of structural and physical damage caused thus far to Israeli population is really minimal.

Either Iron Dome works or Hammas has been throwing water bombs all this time.

But hey, why post something sensible when you can post some random bullshit to serve your propaganda.

Meanwhile Hamas has built all these complexes of underground tunnels to smuggle weapons in yet won't build bunker shelters for their people.

If Israel ended their illegal seige on Gaza, there wouldn't be as much need to have so many tunnels to import supplies/food etc.

Not saying that would stop all weapons being smuggled but it would surely help.

Lol.

Shows how much you actually don't know.
Did you start reading about the conflict a year ago?

The blockade didn't always exist, there was a reason it started in 2007 - 2 years after IDF left the gaza strip and gave them autonomy.
There's also a good damn reason why the Egyptians also got their border closed.

Iron dome will only work for primitive hamas. Their rocket will only fly straight lines that is why it is easy to shot down.

I think Iron dome is easy to defeat.

Make those rockets move faster and move randomly.
Add guidance to those rockets and fly very low to the ground and make it follow the terrain
Make the rocket separate in to five or ten small warhead once it detects that interceptor is coming.
Simply launced ten of thousands in very short time.
Launch thousands of small dummy rockets

The more Hamas keeps firing into civilian areas, the greater the consequences. They can stop anytime they want but continue.... gluttons for punishment.

The worst part is their attack strategy is failing so badly. Yet they will not stop. The answer is because they want their own civilians killed to use as propaganda.that is Hamas real weapon.

Alot of the rockets are landing in Gaza itself. I saw another article where some landed in the West Bank and took out half a Palestinian family's home. Their reaction? They were filled with JOY for Hamas challenging the "Zionist entity" lol

"It showed terrorists can be deterred'' by military force.  Angry
The attack on Gaza's 50-megawatt power plant had an immediate effect on hundreds of thousands of Palestinians. Without air conditioning, they sweltered in the summer heat.  Thas horrible Smiley

Iron Dome only intercept about 90% of Hamas' attacks. Something that the media is forgetting are the remaining 10%. The people of Israel knows about the 10% and every time that alarm goes off, they know it can be the last thing they hear, yet the world only looks at the death rate in Gaza.

Palestinians used child labor to construct the tunnels*

[...]
Once in control of the commercial tunnels, the Hamas government set about formalizing the smuggling economy through regulation. In the wake of Operation Cast Lead, the Interior Ministry established the Tunnel Affairs Commission (TAC) to act as the regulatory authority for commercial activities. Among its first acts was to issue a list of blacklisted imports, including weapons, alcohol, and tramadol, a painkiller much used in Gaza. In response to public concern at a rising toll of tunnel casualties, particularly of child workers, the TAC issued guidelines intended to ensure safe working conditions.

A similarly cavalier approach to child labor and tunnel fatalities damaged the movement’s standing with human-rights groups, despite government assurances dating back to 2008 that it was considering curbs. During a police patrol that the author was permitted to accompany in December 2011, nothing was done to impede the use of children in the tunnels, where, much as in Victorian coal mines, they are prized for their nimble bodies. At least 160 children have been killed in the tunnels, according to Hamas officials. Safety controls on imports appear similarly lax, although the TAC insists that a sixteen-man contingent carries out sporadic spot-checks.

Report: MASSIVE PALESTINIAN SNEAK ATTACK Against Jewish State Planned For 12 Years

Reports are beginning to surface that tell a horrifying story of a near miss for the state of Israel.
The Palestinians have been using billions in aid money to build their terror tunnel network for a massive attack they started planning 12 years ago!

Hamas planned to use the tunnels it dug from Gaza to Israel to execute a massive attack on southern Israel, an Israeli newspaper reported, citing unnamed Israeli security sources.

Under the plan detailed Friday by the Hebrew-language Maariv daily, Hamas planned to send terrorists through the more than 30 tunnels uncovered by Israeli troops and into six southern Israeli communities on Rosh Hashanah in September of this year.

The plan was to kill and kidnap as many Israelis as possible, according to the report.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reportedly told the security Cabinet about the discovered plot during late last week.

http://www.jta.org/2014/07/28/news-opinion/israel-middle-east/report-hamas-planned-rosh-hashanah-attack-through-gaza-tunnels

And from another report out of Israel:

Among it’s other achievements fighting in Gaza, Israel also captured a few terrorists and was able to extract information about Hamas’s plans.

When the soldiers interrogated the terrorists they asked “Why, with so many tunnels (41 so far) going deep into Israel, 25 meters below the ground, some of which reached as far as Beer Sheva – didn’t you use them to attack, kidnap and/or kill Israeli civilians?

The answer was this:

“We have spend the last 12 years building those tunnels and were planning a massive attack against Israel in 2 months time.

We built those dozens of tunnels throughout southern Israel, reaching many towns, not for terror attacks, but to capture territory.

We were waiting for the upcoming Jewish New Year, Rosh Hashana,… we planned to use this advantage to attack and conquer the state of Israel and kill the Zionists.”

If the timeline is accurate, that means this all started under Mahmoud Abbas, aka Abu Mazen, the so called moderate terrorist leader of the PA.

The Obama administration supports the Palestinian Authority and its unity government with Hamas.

Three Israeli Soldiers Killed In Booby-Trapped U.N. Health Clinic…

Three IDF soldiers were killed on Wednesday in Gaza in an explosion at a booby-trapped UNRWA health clinic that housed the opening of a tunnel, the IDF’s Gaza Division commander, Brig. Gen. Micky Edelstein, said.

Two of the three were named as Staff Sgt. Matan Gotlib, 21, of Rishon Lezion, and Staff Sgt. Omer Chai, 21, of Savion.

The three troops, part of the elite Maglan unit, were taking precautionary measures in efforts to limit damage to the structure before eliminating the tunnel, when the explosives detonated in the small building.

The troops had sent in sniffing dogs and a small robot to minimize damage to the structure, located in Khan Yunis, but explosives rigged to the building detonated, toppling part of the building on top of the soldiers.

Stockpiles of rockets found in 3 U.N. schools. Booby-Trapped U.N. Health Clinic. Hmm.. Maybe it is a coincidence but the U.N. logo seems to bring lots of good luck to hamas lately. Nah! Pure conspiracy chaos theory... Wink

Update: Over 175 Pounds Of Explosives Were Built Into Walls Of Booby-Trapped U.N. Health Clinic That Killed 3 Israeli Soldiers…

New details have emerged about the booby-trapped clinic explosion that killed three IDF Maglan unit soldiers in Gaza earlier this week – Sergeant First Class Matan Gottlieb, 21, from Rishon LeZion; Sergeant First Class Omar Chai, 21, from Savion; and Sergeant First Class Guy Algranati, 20, of Tel Aviv, hy”d.

Over eighty kilograms of explosives were built into the UN-funded hospital’s walls themselves, it was cleared for publication Thursday – revealing that the clinic itself was built to mask, and perform, potential acts of terror on the IDF.

Moreover, the clinic was built over tens of terror tunnels, according to the report.

The UNRWA (United Nations Relief and Works Agency) has yet to respond to the revelations, and has still not responded to the deaths of the Israeli soldiers Wednesday.

On Tuesday, Hamas and Islamic Jihad rocket arsenals were found in a UNRWA school for the third time this month.

After the first finding of rockets at an UNRWA school, it was reported that rather than destroying the rockets, UNRWA workers called Hamas to come remove them.

http://www.israelnationalnews.com/News/News.aspx/183566#.U9p2VvldV8G

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So... How does that work exactly?... Do the UN workers place the bricks, then poor concrete, then place the explosives... Or is it explosives first, then bricks, then concrete? Can anyone from the UN elaborate on their hospital building technique here?

Again.. Pure UNcoincidence... Roll Eyes

In most of those facilities you don't actually got western UN people, what you got is local people who work for the UN, or in other words, you got hamas members there with UN uniform.
Same with UNRWA, especially with UNRWA.
