We launcheded from 2014-06-01 06:45:46 (UTC) and now the newest version is V2.6.

Before you upgrade ,you must backup your wallet file. The wallet file (wallet.dat and files such as "ck-*") can be found in the "resources/db" folder .
Then unzip the downloaded wallet zip file (Newbiecoin-2.x.zip) to override the older files.

It started as backend for tests, and somewhere during the last year other projects began to use the API.
