Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

Wasn't every account here supposed to get 6000 stellar eventually?

I know they decreased it to around 1200, but wasn't the remaining part supposed to be given later?

I think they discontinued it and kept all the remaining funds for themselves.

What is wrong with Stellar or Lumens or whatever they want to call it?
I have about 800,000 Stellars at my Wallet and I would like them to exchange them to BTC or Ethereum and I simply cannot.
From JustCoin & Kraken they both told me that I cannot exchange it at the moment! But WHY?

I sent some STRs from wallet to Poloniex on 2016-01-17 for trading, no problem.

There's a decent volume on exchanges, can't find anything about transactions not being processed.

Have you tried Poloniex?

Did you upgrade your account? https://www.stellar.org/blog/stellar-network-upgrade/

If so, you can use the open source Laboratory tool to check balance(s).  Just enter the public address in the "account id" box. https://www.stellar.org/laboratory/#explorer?resource=accounts&endpoint=single

Same can be said about ETH too, i.e. Vitalik's bots trading rubbish to ensure the volume doesn't go to 0.

Well, STR or Lumens (XLM) has been kept very quiet these days in development (at least in announcements in this thread) Maybe they could come up with something new exciting for Stellar. I think that it could attract most people if a GUI wallet could be made for XLM.  Roll Eyes

ffs there is not even a GUI wallet...WTF...how long has this coin been about...what happened to the give away? To be honest you can't trust developers who don't keep to their promises..it was suppose to start after the implementation their new algorithm but since been dropped. At least with XRP you know what they are doing (i.e. trying to become SWIFT 2.0) and they are making progress

ETH is 20 million times the coin that XLM is...even comparing the two in the same sentence is laughable to everyone but yourself

That is true indeed. ETH is way better than XLM, and better price and trading volume (not to mention more interest into it as well). If XLM cannot keep up with fresh developments, and a user friendly wallet, then it will die soon for sure (I think).  Roll Eyes

I have never understood how to setup an XLM wallet, so that is another thing that prevented me from investing into this coin.  Sad
