I was wondering what all the numbers next to trust meant. I know one of them is positive trust, but what are all the other ones? Thanks!

According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

When you look under a person’s name in a marketplace situation you will see something like:

Trust: 5: -0 / +10(5)

The first number grows if there is consistent positive feedback.  This can take some time, and is considered one of the main indicators.  The second number is for negative feedback.  The third and fourth both show positive feedback, but the last number is less able to be spammed.  If a person gets more negative than positive feedback, the color of their rating will turn red.

This pretty much sums it up. Let me know if you have any other questions.

sometimes it can be hard to understand.   For instance, then how can someone be

1: -0/ +3(3)   but then another person can be  0: -0 +5(5)

It would seem like the one with the 5 (on the right), would have at least a +1 (on the left), no?

It's all about the consistent feedback. The person with the +5(5) received more trust in a shorter period of time.

It's all about the consistent feedback. The person with the +5(5) conducted multiple trades in a shorter period than the person with the 1 in the beginning.

oh, ok...that makes sense...thanks!  So the highest number on the left would be the best indicator of being trustworthy with business...right?

Please take a look at the following two threads by theymos.

For the trust score formula: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=337207.0

People who use the DefaultTrust list aren't using the trust system correctly.

You need to go here:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust

And remove "DefaultTrust" and enter a list of users whos opinion you trust. Enter people whom you think won't leave others fake feedback, not necessarily people who won't scam. If you don't do this you will see "fake" feedback.

Those who say the trust system is flawed are wrong, its just not user friendly enough. More people need to remove "DefaultTrust" for it to work correctly. Due to the way the system works people updating their lists will eventually "fix" the DefaultTrust list by putting users who leave honest feedback in it, for it adjusts automatically.

problem is that some scammers are at default trust tree
so any false feedback left by them automatically direct your hero member account into scam category

like my account

It should only be counted once.

Sad

It is not false feedback it is true. If you make up lies and false accusations about someone in an attempt to tarnish their reputation you should deal with the repercussions.

http://legal-dictionary.thefreedictionary.com/defamation

Definition of defamation/slander/libel. Notice that is what your feedback is based upon. Then read the below quote.

can you qoute my slanderous lie?

i posted facts that you were denying that curiousminer ordered anything.

where is my lie?

Ok.

Claiming that i don't have a private list.

Quote
but he behaved like little rat. he is now telling tales that devices were already ordered...
This was proved to be true. You claimed it wasn't. A lie.
Quote
"he lied that he has his miners sealed"

Sent via PM
Quote
lying that you have ordered goods

That was proven false

Sent via PM
Quote
i dont care you have sent order or not. (it was after he asked about refund). he has not ordered items,

That was again proven to be a lie fabricated to mislead people.

So those are the lies i was able to compile in 10 minutes.

They where made in an attempt to discredit my account and past business relations and are thus slanderous the spamming related to you posting them off topic in other threads (for example here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=707786.0) including one of my sales threads. That post has since been deleted.
