Looking forward to bringing UseMarket to everyone as soon as possible. We are basically completed with development, we are now in the internal testing and quality assurance phase. By the time we've concluded all of our internal testing and fixes, the public beta will give us any additional feedback we may need before launch.
Since we've made so much progress we see no reason to slow things down, but to speed things up!
Nice! looking forward to it.

I just found you guys these last couple days. I stay well out of brand new coins for obvious reasons, especially as of late. Just reading your ann thread has given your team pretty good credibility, just based on the legibility. As of now, I'm aggressively buying up coins on Bittrex with 5000-lot bids. I really feel this could be something special. I hope you guys continue to deliver; as you have been, so far.
Congratulations on the quick, and early successes. I hope your decentralized market blindsides the crypto scene. If it does, this could be a massive gem

We hope so too. We hope that with the introduction of UseMarket, people investing in altcoins will know exactly how garbage 98% of all other altcoins are right now. They serve NO REAL PURPOSE, other than to give their devs a quick paycheck.

The secret no scam developers seem to realize, is that if they just delivered on their "product", their payday would be far greater than dumping a premine/insta-mine at 5k satoshi

Dev are we still going to receive the free coins for signatures?
We have decided to cancel the free distribution after 50k was given out to help protect the integrity of the coin for the long term. We did not want to give out all 500k as most free distribution claims are usually dumped on the exchange regardless of price, since it was free. With what's coming up in the next couple weeks, 2k is still a cheap price if you manage to buy some off the exchanges.

Let everyone know about our UseMarket beta sign up! We really want to have as many people as possible to test out the market for one week before we launch. We must make sure that everything is working as intended and no unexpected bugs/exploits appearing after launch.
Also, everyone needs to stop PMing us for free coins. If you didn't even bother reading the updates posted on the OP and throughout this thread then clearly you are not deserving of the free coins to begin with. If you cared enough about the coin you would at least read our posts and updates. Or even just follow our tweets on twitter, we try to be active.

Seeing how much progress we've made in just a mere two days, we have decided to expedite things. We will be releasing the sign up form for UseMarket beta testing TODAY instead of August 26th. We will collect applicants for 1 week starting RIGHT NOW. We are offering the opportunity for community members to take part in test driving our UseMarket, decentralized marketplace. It is an online p2p based marketplace where you can buy and sell goods/services using no other than Usecoin. It also features an ebay style feedback system that is 100% anonymous. We are offering this opportunity to the first 500 people who sign up. Shops have already been set up by devs with REAL items you can buy from us with USE. You can also go ahead and set up your own shop and sell your own goods/services for USE. By default, there are three available notaries and arbitrators available, which are us the developers. Come sign up, first come first serve basis. After 500 sign ups we will close the form and PM all applicants via Bitcointalk's PM system. Access details will be provided on beta test start date which is August 28th at 6PM EST. Beta test starts officially on August 28th @ 6PM EST and will last until September 4th. We plan on releasing UseMarket on the day after that Please report any bugs/glitches you may experience while testing our UseMarket. Your feedback is paramount to us so we can continue to build and improve the marketplace even after release. No downloads are necessary, UseMarket is accessible directly from your browser as long as you can connect to outgoing TCP ports, you will be fine. We only require your username and no other details. I sent my address in through the Pm but didn't get the coins yet. It may take a while?

No sorry, we have decided to cancel any remaining free distribution coins and will be destroyed along with unsold IPO coins.

Sorry for the disappointment but the long term stability of the coin is of much higher value to us and the investors.

Go through with Proof of Developer.....please.
This can, and will give the entire project a lot more validity and help really cement the beginning foundation of this coin.
If you guys are receptive to all scrutiny and validation that is thrown at you, it will only continue to improve the already good reputation your team has begun to build up. The importance of knowing who our developers are can't be stressed enough. Trust in this community has waned to near zero with all of the recent bull shit that has been thrown at us. Just reading through the OP, and not seeing poor spelling, bad word usage or sloppiness is a huge sigh of relief
Edit: Let the weak supporters leave this coin if their dedication is contingent receiving free handouts.

We understand this completely and will contact the proof of dev services to get this done ASAP. We understand the community wants this and are willing to deliver.

Has the USE market code been checked by the community? I believe you said it was on GitHub can you provide a link. Also who will be destroying the unsold ICPO and giveaway coins and how will that be verified?

@ShameOnYou make all the necessary address public (ICO/free distribution) to prove that your not going to keep a massive amount of coins for yourself.
This is a suggestion if you have nothing to hide.

Coins are going to be sent to bittrex for destruction once they provide the address. It will be done in the next 48 hours, hoping for a lot sooner.

It is not open source until we officially launch the UseMarket. It is based on the OpenBazaar code which can be found on GitHub currently, but we had done a lot of custom development on it because the code is incomplete and a lot of functionality was not working properly when we had it installed. We will get bittrex to destroy remaining coins, hopefully they can make a public statement or offer some way to show evidence coins are destroyed.
