If the wallet and conversion are to complicated for some of them, bit-pay makes it easy. They handle the wallet and conversion and wire the $ to your bank account. Maybe a big bold statement in the tutorial that anyone not comfortable with wallet management and conversion can have it done for them at 2.7% - better than losing 100%.

I pledge 25% of the booth rental, up to $500, but may do better depending on the booth size and who else is contributing, along with who's controlling/manning the booth. If a success, I'll pledge 25% (no limit) for the CES 2012 booth. I'm not planning on having any products or services available at either event, but may attend one or both of them, working as a liaison making sure everything is running smoothly. Therefore, all the attention will be on the girls and Bitcoin.

If this idea takes legs, please start another thread for the August convention. The main person who wants to be in control of this event, should be the one who starts the thread, hopefully in discussion. Afterwards, start the CES 2012 thread.

I'm not planning on being in control of either endeavors. Just want to help fund it and offer up suggestions as it moves forward.

Just got off the phone with Tony... For this particular genre, we need to target the porn conventions... I'm going to keep my eyes out for upcoming events and see what booth costs are and we'll go from there.

I'm not a big fan of this operation because I would rather bitcoin be associated with reputable industries. The drug and illegal activity association is bad enough, now we want to associate it with amateur porn? But that aside, I think it meets an actual need and will succeed as long as bitcoin itself does. Whether or not this actually helps bitcoin succeed remains to be seen.

My suggestion is to find a camgirl forum and do some advertising there. The savvy camgirls would love to put a bitcoin address in the background so they can take as many direct donations as possible. I'd also suggest convincing a few of these girls to post on 4chan and any other image boards that you can think of. Get a little bit of momentum going from the attention seekers who suddenly realize they can make money at the same time and this thing will seriously take off.

Whether or not this actually helps bitcoin succeed remains to be seen.

In my mind, it unboubtably will help. Look at what's happening... for the first time, a whole genre of non-nerds are waking up to the idea of using a p2p digital currency and trusting it as a store and transfer of value. Now these girls have some bitcoin and they dont want to buy video cards and nerd hardware. they want beauty supplies, clothes, and jewelry. this dramatically affects the bitcoin economy. without a doubt.

This is a long thread and quite hard to follow if you're just getting here.. but we have a bounty to get 10 girls to do this. we're now at 9. If you think this is a good idea, please contribute to the bounty to show your appreciate for all the girls that came here to show us their boobies. When we get 10, the bounty is split: 50% goes to ladybytes for doing the first video and such an outstanding job of it. the other 50% is divided between all the girls.
