Sigh. Sporklin's comments are so misrepresenting and stupid that I'm not even going to respond, other than to say that basically every point of that is wrong.

the first part, i can understand. it is a known fact that dogeparty and clearinghouse (of viacoin) are forks of counterparty. but the subsequent statements make me think there's something bad that went on between the people behind dogecoin and dogeparty?

So the big secret is the dogeparty devs created the HOTDOG asset in dogeparty?!
Dogeparty is great, it is still young. I just logged into counterparty today and had some errors and bugs, so I guess it is just part of the whole counterparty system no matter what, and will be for a while. The whole building on top of other blockchains is a new thing and it will take time for it to get better. As soon as the exchange is open and the wallet is a bit more stable then things will get better I think.

found this post on /r/doge: DogeParty is a rip of someone elses coding, it was barely re-branded for launch and in fact even now more than half the coding has the original tags on it. Without any ideal about how it really worked. Which is sad given if you actually look at the people behind it, this is not the first time they've done it. They have been responsible for more than a few pump and dump token systems and failed cryptos.
DogeParty is mainly FOR profit by the people pushing it, take a look at some of their accounts and realize how much they've burned and into what. It might be eye opening to say the least. DogeParty is only DogeParty and not ReddParty, or TacoParty because of the popularity around Dogecoin and the userbase to it being as spread as it is.
DogeParty knowingly went out of their way not keep most of the people uninformed to exactly what they were doing, what tokens could be used for, and allowed misinformation to be spread about what they are. - Funny point, when brought up to them? They stated it was not their job.
DogeParty has also talked a whole bunch of shit about our Developers (Dogecoin) across assorted platforms, and shockingly enough that all got back to our devs.
In short and the nicest way to put this?
DogeParty burned their bridges, and I took their passports so they are not allowed back onto Dogecoin Developer Island due to their inability to actually play nice, or accept help they were offered before they buggered up.
it looked like a promising project. now i'm not so sure. source: http://www.reddit.com/r/dogecoin/comments/2h1lde/auxwowed/How did they bugger up?

The first one to benefit from this project is DOGE. Dogeparty suggest a great solution for DOGE inflation problem. Now, after burning period is over, XPD is an independent entity, and I don't see how it can hurt DOGE in anyway. It's true that there is a lack of communication with the dev team, that must be resolved in order to take this coin further.

I also got some counterparty errors but have likewise learned to give them leeway. I'm sure its not an easy feat to implement the market system but when it is it will theoretically match orders and conduct transactions much faster than counterparty due to DOGE's shorter block lengths. So, that's something to look forward to.

If something like that happened, we're not aware of it. In fact we hardly had any communication with the Dogecoin developers at all. One of them is sitting in the Dogeparty Skype chat room. I literally have no idea what she is talking about, on any front. By the way, to everyone who wants to see more community action: please self-recruit, organize and get it underway. We really only want to be responsible for the software side of things, at least until everything is working well.

ohh, here we go again: Of Wolves and Weasels - Day 259 - Guest Post: Clarifications and Thoughts on Dogeparty and the Community by GoodShibein dogecoin [–]Sporklin -2 points 2 hours ago* Thank you GS for now the second slam posting based all around little ole me. It warms my heart to see what productive, helpful and healthy things your platform is being used for. Honestly over the months watching, reading it has been interesting to watch the shifting per moods and seeing just how differently it can be used. Cheers for now allowing it to be used as a platform for personal attacks. You are doing the community proud in picking and allowing the topics you do. It does sadden me however that you would allow your reputation and this platform you built up to be used to attack the Dogecoin developers in the way you have allowed it to be. I did not think you could manage to use it in a more harmful way, however we all have our special skills. Thank you GoodShibe for yet again for making it clear where you stand amongst things. The Dogecoin developers should not be shamed, or attacked, nor should they be abused in this manner simply because they make the choice not to be involved in an outside project. Their time is dedicated to keeping the core of Dogecoin safe, secure and functional. The response that triggered this, was given with the backing and support of them based on their own research and knowledge surrounding things. That you would allow your brand to be misused and used to attack them...Really shows just how far things have come. *Thank you for the downvotes Dogeparty It was fun to watch this go from the top post into the bottom. Really, lovely stuff chaps. dunno why, but this reply is not visible here: https://www.reddit.com/r/dogecoin/comments/2hbiif/of_wolves_and_weasels_day_259_guest_post/can somebody tell me little bit more about this Sporklin guy? I expected, that dogecoin community is friendly and open and now it seems, that one "community respected" member acts like retard. why the hell he is still shitting on dogeparty? wendell, you did something wrong to him?.)

As I said, we've had little to no communication with the Dogecoin devs, and I am as puzzled as anyone else. That said, when we first started this project, Andreas Antonopoulos and a few others had warned us that we might not want to do the project on Dogecoin because it had been "co-opted". Maybe it's related? We're pressing on, in any case. So any word on when the asset exchange / market is being implemented?
As soon as possible, but no sooner. We want to get the outstanding wallet issues fixed first.

how to lock an asset ? what is the counterpartyd.py command ?
You can lock an asset via the dogeparty wallet. You can issue a token and by locking it no more can be issued. the counterpartyd.py command is basically “dogepartyd". since dogepartyd is so new, and since it is based on/cloned from counterparty, not everything has been updated to replace “counterparty” with “dogeparty” you can have a look at: https://github.com/Dogeparty/dogepartyd

https://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/dogecoin-creator-jackson-palmer-leave-dogecoin-community-calls-cult-like/Sounds like the "new" dogecoin team leaders are particularly litigious. They are probably jealously guarding the doge name and see dogeparty as competition, which is too bad, because it goes hand-in-hand with dogecoin.

It should be noted that Jackson Palmer is back at /r/dogecoin as of a few weeks ago. I believe that reply was deleted by the moderators.

Only where a user would see it is where I'd draw the line. Ideally, Dogeparty is maintained as a patch set on top of counterparty so updates can be done easily. Keeping that patch set as small as possible is in everyone's interest.

Is it possible to switch asset from decimal places disallowed (when asset was created) to allowed at some future point in time? The same goes for amount of assets, if someone created 1,000 units of some asset is it possible to drop that number to let's say 100 units?
