That captcha is fning annoying get rid of it its useless anyway.  I'm tempted to just sell all my shares and stop using the service after loging in twice with it.

Also, the captcha should probably only come up after 1 or 2 failed logins, it is extremely annoying.
FYP.

Nefario, please do something like only make a captcha after a failed login, or make an opt-out in the settings. It's not much help anyway, if the password is any good it can't be brute-forced.

Nefario, are there any restrictions on what characters a password may contain? Upon creation of a new account, I used Lastpass to generate a secure password with all kinds of odd characters, and got a 502 server error when submitting the registration form, and then when I tried again it said that I was already registered. So I tried resetting the password via email, and that appeared to be successful, but I cannot login still.

I'm having the same issue. Getting 'Internal Service Error' left and right.

Yes please remove it Nefario.

Also reCaptcha isn't safe anymore.

Captcha removed, I'll add it as an option and after x failed attempts

Investigating the server errors, I've just gotten up.

Fixed server errors for new signups, if any of you created an account and were not able to login as a result of a server error please pm me your email and I'll sort it out for you.

Looks like the GLBSE is down.   Sad

Luckily my IPO started off without a hitch.  But bummer to be down on IPO day

I'm not getting much of a response from PMs with Nefario, so I'll post in here. I can't do much (anything) in the settings, can my account be deleted so I can re-setup password and two step auth?

as far as I could find out, you only can activate 2step auth for any of the 3 options and it's a one way street.
once you enable it for any of the options, it stays on and can not be changed later.

the good news is, all 3 options when activated, return the same code so it's enough to write it down once.
if you missed three chances to write down a code can't help you.

if you can't do anything now means you already clicked on all 3 buttons that activate 2step auth for withdrawal, transfer and password change and you're done. if you did not have 2step auth activated prior to that step, no idea how to help you now.

if you need a new account, just create a new one (with a different email, though) and use the new one.

Setting up the account was a mess. Everything I did led to a "Internal Service Error" and after twenty tries with different emails, usernames, and two step auth settings, I finally got in. However, I don't know which email it is using or which two step auth choices I selected, and the password is temporary and very weak. Also, nothing shows up under settings, so I can't view/change email, view which two step auth settings are selected, or change password. The settings page shows absolutely nothing. I'd rather have the account deleted and try registering again. However, Nefario is not responding to days old PMs, even though it shows him as "online" many times since I've sent the PMs. This has been a very frustrating start to GLBSE.

That sucks Brian.  It sounds like there might be some system issues occurring (GLBSE is in "Beta").  You should go to bed and setup a new email account for use with the GLBSE in the morning and try again.

This has now been cleaned up.

Creating a new account no longer asks the user if they want to use twofactor authentication. That's now only available in the settings.

I think too many users just clicked OK to it without actually looking at what it was.

I've also added the ability to change your email and password from settings.

Awesome.  Would it be possible to insert an extra space between these lines so the numbers don't run together?

I think it makes sense where it's at and I'd imagine it would be easier that way for people with multiple listings.  I just didn't know where to look.

Would it be possible to make the "contact email" in the settings direct the user to sending a message to my GLBSE mail account?

Wha?

Your mail account on GLBSE (i.e. the little mail icon)

or

The email address you use for GLBSE

For the first option each asset page already has a "mail asset issuer" link.

Would it be possible to make the "contact email" in the settings direct the user to sending a message to my GLBSE mail account?

Wha?

Your mail account on GLBSE (i.e. the little mail icon)

or

The email address you use for GLBSE

Yes, the first option.  I would like to have that be my contact email (even though I guess it isn't a real email address).  I would be happy with a link that says "mail asset issuer."

Option #2 would be very bad, as I hope my login email address is never made public for security reasons.

Can the volume also be set to display the daily volume of each asset?

Introducing constraints to the economy only serves to limit what can be economical.
