How do I install the latest firmware? - Download firmware as above. Navigate to System -> Upgrade and click "browse". Select the
downloaded file and click "Flash image". Do NOT interrupt this process or you will brick the unit.

The good news is the firmware update ALMOST completely silences the beeping. Why you can't silence it completely without desoldering the speaker, that I do not know.

They should of just put a switch on it to enable/disable it.  $.20 for a simple dip switch.  Although the #1 priority is making it work soo I'd rather an working S3 lol.  Bitmain is ggggggggggggreat!

Almost?  I haven't heard a peep or a beep from any of my S3s since the very first firmware update Bitmain issued (I've got batch 1, batch 4 and batch 5 units).  I'm curious to know under what circumstances you are still getting the beeps.  I was under the impression that the phenomenon had been successfully identified and corrected.  Thanks!
