Interesting game, just a problem....

It should be offchain.   Onchain games are the past.

Think about making it offchain

We got the question already: why most of the bets arrive in 5 seconds and suddenly one takes minutes?
Simply because we don't accept bets contained in transactions whose inputs are themselves unconfirmed. In that case they are delayed until all inputs gets confirmed.
It can happen if you play (or are sending transactions somewhere else) very fast so your coins don't have time to confirm before playing again.

Enough technicalities: in practice, if it happens your bets will go through as soon as the next block is mined, no worry! Smiley

(This is explained in the "how to" section in the menu, but maybe we will also add a FAQ for this kind of stuff...)

Note that if you "miss" your bet and have any doubt what happend, remember that you can browse everything and search by address or transaction id in the bet browser: http://luckyb.it/browse

Monero's privacy and therefore fungibility are MUCH stronger than Bitcoin's.
This makes Monero a better candidate to deserve the term "digital cash".

.....
I tested the service out for about 30 minutes today I also have a bunch of missing payouts, lower then expected returns etc..  Does this service work with coinbase properly? We also sent you an email

As a responsible user in this forum I have to really tell guys that BitcoinCasinoPro is not a good place to take reference on. As from a few casino on our community have responded and posted out that this user is asking for bribes to have a positive rating.

PS: For accurate rating, b!z one is kinda solid proof and rated fairly. Trust experienced user, not a random 3 months old newbie who doesn't got his mind around Bitcoin logic yet.

A letter to you, BitcoinCasinoPro

I am getting too much face palm reading your post on BitcoinTalk. Not to mention your website. Just some two cents of your bitcoincasino"pro" website.
First off. The most important thing is that your rating is far off. SatoshiDice Tribute can take an A+ in current situation? 30 seconds of suspense for every single bet, extremely high rake compared to other off chain dice competitors, new
Designed face that looks haunting (a few guys in other casino's chat room mentioned that). Unless you say you love these both. Or else this is just not how you rate a casino. Not with how many giveaways they do, how much ad they do (they do count, but not as major), and do you win on that site with your few rolls.

Seriously this is not a fair report shall do. NO personal emotion should be included anywhere. It should be based on fact. Where b!z doing much better than you, comments and score based on rock hard fact.

Next for what you are commenting on some other site. Have you even tried to do your own work confirming every bets is probability fair or not before posting your rough work paper out. This is not what you do if you claim yourself as pro since I am sure that any newbies in the forum have the ability to say that a random lose streak is on this site to me and I lose a grand, Scam.

re offchain/onchain:

an advantage of onchain games (not mentioned in the OP) is that they are "more provably fair."
An offchain site could just change your balance to any amount. Then you could go
complain on the forums, but it'd be your reputation against theirs. Can't do it with onchain.

but on the otherhand after gambling onchain anyone whom you send your coins
will see that you are a gambler. Unless you launder your coins of course.

Very good point you are making there, never considered the privacy side of it.

Offchain/onchain is a complex discussion and maybe deserves another thread. Smiley We certainly noticed that many players ask for offchain because it seems to be the trend, event though many of them don't understand the implications.

We thought long and hard about offchain vs. onchain, and this is how we see it:

Offchain:
  • pro: easier to develop (don't need to worry about confirmations and double spends)
  • pro: privacy
  • pro: don't need separate client/tab open
  • pro: can do microtransactions
  • pro: less fees
  • con: often insecure (remember those InstaWallet URLs?)
  • con: pushes risk of security on the player (remember your password etc)
  • con: player funds on site
  • con: provably fair less strong
  • con: can't play "headless" (needs site open)

Onchain:
  • pro: strongly provably fair
  • pro: much more secure for player (it's on the blockchain after all Smiley)
  • pro: can play "headless"
  • pro: trust-free
  • con: hard to do properly (risks of double spend when doing instant payouts)
  • con: more fees
  • con: no microtransactions
  • con: privacy

Many on the disadvantages of onchain are for the developer, and many of the advantages for the player. We think that we picked the hard choice, making it better for the player and harder for us (after all, the only disadvantages for the player are less privacy and the need for your wallet while playing) But as a result, you have a stable, secure, provable fair and trust-free game.

Now there's the question of "spamming the blockchain" (another one that deserves a hole different post, and another one that is poorly understood in our eyes Wink). If a site needs to make high speed and/or micro transactions  (ie <0.001 BTC) it basically has no choice: this can't be done onchain. Thus, all these projects doing thousands of dice rolls a minute have to do it offchain. For example, the same is true for an access point providing Internet access for 1mBTC per minute.

On the other hand, a site that follows 0.8.2 rules can well go onchain if it doesn't send thousands of microtransactions a minute. We're always sending a meaningful amount, and we pay the miners good money for it (now that we've fixed that fee bug, anyways Wink). Furthermore, due to the delay in the game there's no incentive for the player to play more often than every ~15 seconds, which inherently limits the amount of transactions per player.

yep, pretty good break down.
But there's no contradiction in offering both offchain and onchain-
I suppose all it takes is the demand for it and of course the time.

We thought long and hard about offchain vs. onchain, and this is how we see it:

Offchain:
  • pro: easier to develop (don't need to worry about confirmations and double spends)
  • con: often insecure (remember those InstaWallet URLs?)
  • con: provably fair less strong
  • con: can't play "headless" (needs site open)

Onchain:
  • pro: strongly provably fair
  • pro: trust-free
  • con: hard to do properly (risks of double spend when doing instant payouts)

Hello, I honestly think you're seeing incorrectly the points I left above from your earlier post. I felt the need to reply to this as someone else might take your view as the right one, since no one made objections to it so far. So here are my corrections on the points above.

Offchain:
  • pro: easier to develop (don't need to worry about confirmations and double spends) -> Offchain sites absolutely need to worry about confirmations. It has to track the transactions received to make sure it doesn't double credit accounts, and sites accepting deposits on 0 confirmations needs to implement methods for preventing withdrawals and/or rollbacks if the deposit turns out to be a double spend. Offchain sites also commonly distributes a new address on each new account/deposit, while on the chain only has a fixed set of addresses. On the chain is much easier to develop and manage.
  • con: often insecure (remember those InstaWallet URLs?) -> This is a kind of generalization that doesn't make sense. Sites working on the chain can be just as unsafe by being badly secured and/or programmed, risking all its funds. The same can be said about off the chain sites, so there is no point to be made here.
  • con: provably fair less strong -> There is no such thing. The bets are either provably fair or not. You probably meant something regarding public audits.
  • con: can't play "headless" (needs site open) -> Not true, several sites provides ways for the players to play through some API.

Onchain:
  • pro: strongly provably fair -> Again, no such thing see. See comment above.
  • pro: trust-free -> The operator is free to run away with any deposits and/or not send back winning bets, there is no such thing as trust-free here.
  • con: hard to do properly (risks of double spend when doing instant payouts) -> See the first point above.

Hi!

really nice design.  This is pretty cool, a "Dice-esque" game but a cool visual for each bet.  As a +EV gambler, the 100.3% payout is attractive while in beta Smiley

so I sent it coins to the red chip, it dropped... then fired a bigger bet to the yellow chip... nothing now for a few minutes... wait there it goes!!!

I read a bit about why that may happen, but other dice sites have solved that to make an instant game, which IMO is essential for a gambling site like this.  I fired a few more bets, will wait a few minutes to watch my plinko-esque chip in 1 of 3 colors fall.

IDK if this was discussed yet, but each "peg" the chip has 50% to fall either right or left?  is it not even like that and the chip falling is just a display of the dice-roll?

Thanks, very much appreciated!  Smiley

You probably read already that it is due to your bets having unconfirmed inputs. AFAIK satoshidice is also delaying payouts in some cases, they just don't make public the rules that they use. This is a protection against double-spends.
It should not happen often though, so you must have a wallet where all inputs are from a single or few transactions. An example of such a situation is the following: you create a new wallet, you receive a single transaction of 10BTC, then you send 0.001 to our game. The whole 10BTC will be in the state of unconfirmed inputs until the next block then.

IDK if this was discussed yet, but each "peg" the chip has 50% to fall either right or left?  is it not even like that and the chip falling is just a display of the dice-roll?
Yes, on every moves the coins have 50% chance to go left or right. And this is provably fair in the same way the dice-games' "lucky number" is. If you click "check your bet" in the bet browser (link at bottom of the main page), you'll see more technical info.

Monero's privacy and therefore fungibility are MUCH stronger than Bitcoin's.
This makes Monero a better candidate to deserve the term "digital cash".

Fun game.  My lightweight (cheap) laptop lagged a bit when playing, it was pretty heavy on the cpu, firefox using just under 50% of cpu when site is open.  But this laptop is really just for browsing the internet while traveling.

tl:dr, is the animation just for fun?  Like the outcome is predetermined as soon as a bet is accepted?
