Hi all.
Been following this alongside
hammers400 and may have found a few things and crossed some stuff off the list as no good.
The key having ribbons short-long-long-short-long-short has prompted me to start there. As perhaps this is the key to deciphering the code.
So far with the 011010 I've tried getting the Hex color code for that R1, G16, B16. But couldn't find a single pixel in the image that had that color.
011010 is also 26 in binary to decimal, which could mean in the short-long patterns we're looking for letters of the alphabet.
Coin_artist's friend, Tyler, mentioned the original players gained access to a high-definition version of the image. Can any of these original players confirm whether or not the twitter image coin_artist shared is good enough to follow, or is there a higher-res image that makes things easier to work with?
Additional findings, or major coincidences:Counted the flames in total = 152
The inner flames = 98.
152 in decimal is 98 in Hexadecimal, so thinking we have to use Hex in here somewhere for sure.
There are 63 squares on this alternatives style chessboard, and 63 long inner flames. Does anyone see anything we can do with that?
coin_artist has confirmed The Pheonix and the Turtle helped to inspire the piece,
https://www.poetryfoundation.org/poems/45085/the-phoenix-and-the-turtle-56d2246f86c06So we've started looking to that for clues based on the poem. On the Dove's wing we can read what appears to be "FO" (square A6), and on the Phoenix neck there appears to be an "Ld" (Square C6/C5). Combining these we get "FOLd". We're wondering if this could mean anything to anyone? Like do we need to fold the image over on itself etc. Or are we just finding coincidences in random brushstrokes.
Hoping these ideas can get some people thinking.
I have limited coding knowledge, but very keen to help solve this.
