There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

Can someone please tell my why the scrypt subscription is sold out. Is it that no more hardware is being added for now or is there some other reason.
Also, can someone please comment on sha256 vs scrypt in terms of expected revenue and cost.

You are probably much better going to the Genesis Mining thread here.. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=602022.0Regarding Scrypt subscriptions, well scrypt payouts are not very good, if you look at my information I have posted above, you can see what people will get for Scrypt vs SHA 256. Genesis Mining 1 MH/s payout is Scrypt Genesis Mining 10GH/s payout is SHA 256. Ian

Had this in my Zeushash account today. Great, so not only is my Scrypt contract dead, so is my SHA 256 contract as well. And they were still doing big promos for customers just yesterday.....Good job I only had a small amount with them though.
Dear ZeusHash customers,
As Bitcoin price witnessed significant and continuous dropping lately, the daily payouts of GHS will not be able to cover maintenance fees (now at $0.0023 per GHS per day) very soon. As you can see the payouts today have already been eaten up by 98%+ of maintenance fees.
According to our Terms, “in case the daily mining return is lower than the maintenance fee for at least 10 days in a row”, we’ll have to cease the operation of our mining farms and freeze all GHS contracts, which is a forced measure when there’s no mining profitability.
We’d like to warn you not to purchase more GHS as it’s not the best time for investment. And we are working on different plans for your profits when the conditions for freezing GHS contracts are met. The final solution will be released then.
As a dedicated cloud mining platform, ZeusHash will continue its efforts to seek for better solutions to deliver more cost-efficient cloud mining contracts. Negotiations with our partners are going on smoothly and it won’t be long before the new contracts are available.

GAW Miners and GM comparison Day 158 video is now up. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WueXoH3tjtsPayouts for Day158 were as follows: Genesis Mining 11 GH/s contract 0.00006493 BTC Gaw Miners Genesis Hashlet 15 GH/s Zero....No payouts since they stopped Cloud Mining on the 1st February Genesis Mining 1 MH/s Life contract Zero...Account was terminated due to 20 days of zero payouts as per the contract GAW Hashlet Waffle No payouts since they stopped Cloud Mining on the 1st February GAW Hashlet Zen No payouts since they stopped Cloud Mining on the 1st February So there you go, not really a comparison anymore though, as GAW Miners has stopped cloud mining and GM terminated my Lifetime Scrypt contract. They gave me 1GH/s as a kind gesture. Please watch the video if you can and then give me your thoughts about some of the questions I ask. Would love feedback. Ian

I will be posting updates here regarding daily payouts in GH/s for Genesis Mining SHA 256 Lifetime Contracts.
These figures will be based on my 50 GH/s payout, which will be divided by 50 and then the result will be what you can expect for 1 GH/s.
This might be useful for those of you who might want to compare your payouts or get an idea of what payouts are.
For example, if you want to find out the payout for 200 GH/s, you would get my result for 1 GH/s and multiply it by 200.
This will be 99 percent accurate because not everyone will get the same payout as all our payouts are shared from one big payout so there is a change that my result could be slightly different, but we are talking about just a few satoshis basically.
Anyway I will post my result for Mining Day 29.03.2015 here
50GH/s payout was 0.00021201 BTC, so divided by 50 and the Payout for 1GH/s is roughly 424 satoshis.
As mentioned, just multiply 424 x the number of GH/s you want to find out the payout for, so if you want to know the payout for 15 THs, just multiply 424 by 15000 and you will get 6360000, after adding the zero etc for BTC, it would be 0.06360000 BTC, which would have been roughly the payout for 15TH that day.
Do not forget, the amounts mentioned are after the fees have been removed.
Hope you find it useful.

As some of you may or might now know, I have also recently been investing in Mining Sweden, a cloud mining company based in Sweden. I purchased 50 VIP shares with them, each VIP share is 5 GH/s so my total hashpower is 250 GH/s. Now my contract is valid for one year, but unlike Genesis Mining for example, my contract includes all fees up front, so very similar to the kind of contracts that Genesis Mining did before they changed to lifetime contracts. So my payouts already include maintenance and electricity costs for the year. They also sell Non Vip shares which are cheaper and these also are for one year and include all costs. The different between VIP shares is that with VIP shares, you will also get to share in the companies profits in the future. More details can be found on their website or on my youtube channel. I thought I would start listing my payouts here for 250 GH/s. They pay out each week and have been on time, no problems whatsoever. So here are the payouts. 250 GH/s SHA 256 27 Feb 2015 0.0197925 06 Mar 2015 0.0188475 13 Mar 2015 0.0188475 20 Mar 2015 0.01855 27 Mar 2015 0.022617 (due to good mining that week, payouts were awarded with 20% extra) So as you can see the payouts are not too bad, although the upfront costs are higher to start with. I will post the payout each Friday now. I hope you will find it useful. Mining Sweden Easter competition details here https://youtu.be/lsbgh3G-gE8Last payout video here, 27th March 2015 and other information https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tzonLfzvt1MIan
