It's strange people are buying there at all... The only reason I would think of - is to get some altcoins they want, but then again - they can just buy them on an exchange with no problems. They get a lot of publicity, maybe that's the way how they attract new customers and some of them probably does not even care to compare the prices.. Oh, and forgot to mention, they accept credit cards.

I think with GM, Credit Card has a factor as there are lots of people who can not get Bitcoin to start off with so paying with Credit Card is alot easier for them.

Plus you are right, they do a lot of publicity. Do you think you would ever see the owners of Hashnest doing a webinar for example?

Just an update to my GM vs GAW mining thread.

Today I thought i would enter in all my payouts for my 10GH/s SHA 256 contract into a spreadsheet.

In February, my contract acquired an extra 1GH/s, this was because my Scrypt contract terminated, this turned my 10GH/s of hashpower into 11GH/s, so I went through all my 11GH/s payouts from that date onwards up to today, divided them by 11 to get a 1GH/s amount then multiplied that 1GH/s amount by 10 to get the payout for 10GH/s.

I wanted to see how much my SHA 256 contract would have paid out, if i had not also bought a Scrypt contract at the same time.

The SHA 256 contract at the time on the 19th September cost BTC 0.01937366

So after adding up the payouts up to today, not including Scrypt, this is just all the SHA 256 payouts and after the 11GH/s payouts have been converted to 10GH/s payouts,  I have been given back 0.02273926 BTC.

So this means that for my SHA 256 contract on its own, it has made ROI so this also means that if anyone else purchasing SHA 256 mining Hashpower from Genesis Mining at around the same time or even earlier, would have made ROI too and every payout from now on is profit.

But if I take both my contracts both together, then so far because of the Scrypt contract going bye bye in February, I have been paid back 0.0431876 BTC.

Both contracts together cost 0.0562 BTC so I have got 76.84% back.

So anyway, just thought I would post that.
