Strange that I only noticed this topic yet. I think you've found a great way for a betting website in which everyone can look up the outcome -  thus the game is provably fair.

do you think this can someday be used by miners to bet on who find blocks in order to win extra money or to have and stable income?. For example I bet for all other pools except mine, so if my pool find the block, I get the block reward, otherwise I win the game. Then I can have always an stable income.
