Fucking journalists on it immediately sending him emails.

You'd be a pretty useless journalist if you didn't at least try it.

you know if it gets out i guess he may have to spend some of those btc on some hard core blackwater guys or something. he'll be ok, but we should really start a fund to pay someone to track down the hacker and see how he likes a little dose of his own medicine.

if satoshi is indeed doxed, he has access to 1 million bitcoins. putting a 500 btc bounty on the hacker would be well worth it for him, and could set a precedent to not fuck with a guy who has access to that kind of money. didn't someone offer a bounty to track down whoever hacked him? forget his name..

gmx.com actually doesn't limit guesses to 3 per day. It says that but you can go back and try again...

To be honest, I wouldn't want to be the hacker who stumbled into the e-mail account of someone who can easily send hundreds of millions of dollars to anyone anywhere in the world and is bragging about it all over the place online.

http://www.wired.com/2014/09/satoshi/

$12,000 in usd to reveal satoshi's real name...apparently

Honestly? Did wired really have to link the pastebin? Why would they link to the fucking pastebin directly giving this pathetic scam attempt a better chance to fool people? For fucks sake.

And even if satoshi got doxxed. What about it? Maybe his PO box will get flooded with xmas cards?
I seriously don't see what harm can come to someone for inventing bitcoin. I have nothing to him but a sincere and warm thank you for his work.

I understand the fear about the early bitcoins. But nobody can know for sure if he has them, we can however know the hacker doesn't, otherwise he wouldn't be asking for bitcoins to release the info.

Not to throw conspiracy's out there, but there is such a thing as the petro-dollar. There is a reason why a small (by American terms) industry is being so closely watched and talked about. It is potentially disruptive, which scares a lot of people who own a lot of money.

There's another one on bitbin!!!! http://bitbin.it/sOjcnNkd

eh, not very smart. like someone else said, he could send a link to a different address to keep the information quiet. cuz you know, satoshi wants his identity anonymous and he has 1 million coins.

From the evidence it seems that the hacker knows his real identity. The hacker gained access to Satoshi's "real" gmx email address which then had his satoshin@gmx address as an alias. If this is true the real Satoshi Nakomoto's identity will be soon revealed. We have been able to cross reference the purchase order to a bitcoin talk thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=193129.0 around the exact date so the email looks legitimate.

So the guy who hacked the gmx account also ordered an FPGA.  Nothing on that Cardreaderfactory invoice has anything to do with the creator of bitcoin.

in that case, either the hacker or satoshi is in missouri. i have no idea which it is, but man.. would satoshi really use his personal address on that account? that would be a ross ulbricht level mistake.

Or someone that put Satoshi's email as email during the checkout of the order. Anyone can do that.

Correct, but if the hacker did it then he/she waited 1.3 years to act like an idiot. :-) It's prob. a dumb lucky kid and Satoshi is close to being revealed or at very least more exposed.

Wow...did you even look at the date of the invoice? How did you make this connection?(Rhetorical question).
