If Satoshi was alive and was trying to be anonymous:

- he would have changed all of his passwords, after finding out that his accounts were compromised back when the "I am not ..." mesage was posted.
- after all this gmx mess, he would certainly have more reason to change his passwords and let the people know that it was not him sending the messages, but a random hacker.
- he would have deleted all emails that could compromise him and he would have changed the secondary email.
- he would have changed his email accounts and never would use his old ones anymore.

This story on wired.com: http://www.wired.com/2014/09/satoshi/ also says, that the hacker knows Satoshi's identity and that he was actually knowing that SN is still alive and that SN was still using his satoshin gmx account after his disappearance.

So,

If Satoshi was dead

- it explains why he never moved a Satoshi from his wallet after disappearance
- it explains why he suddenly stopped all of his activity
- it explains why he never changed his passwords after beeing compromised by hackers

I pretty much believe that SN died back in the days when he disappeared suddenly.

Interesting is, that in both occasions, the "I am not ..." posting AND this wired article is indicating that Satoshi Nakamoto is still alive.

Some Questions:

If SN was actually dead, why would the hacker do what he is doing after compromising his accounts a long time ago?

How could a hacker, that doesn't seem to act very smart, hack into Satoshis email account after hordes of hackers worldwide were trying this for years?

All this p2pfoundation hack AND hacking gmx AND the wired story about selling Satoshis identity for 12000USD makes no sense to me. He could get ALOT more from SN if he really knows his identity and SN was alive and trying to hide. Is he really that dumb?

Doesn't it look a lot more like sombody is desperately trying to let the people think, that Satoshi Nakamoto was still alive?

Wait, let me put my tinfoilhat on, before I continue .....................................................

Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

Yeh
I remember that someone came out a long time ago stated that he is the one that said "I am not Dorian" He said he compromised the account. And that was the end of that, not sure if what I read was a fake.

Blackmail is illegal in most places around the world. I'm guessing the hacker should give up now and walk away while this is still relatively trivial.

If Satoshi was dead

If Satoshi is dead I wonder whether someone (a family member, friend or just someone who bought his stuff) is going to find (some of) the Bitcoins he owned on an old computer someday ...

If this hacker could possibly have found any of Satoshi's private keys then we would have seen the coins being moved to new addresses pretty quickly. Either by the hacker or Satoshi to ensure they have sole ownership.

Interesting stuff - could pave the way to Satoshi making a legitimate reappearance Smiley

Is not it a coincidence that the last message treats as the possible presentation of the iWallet of Apple?

Why didn't anyone yet translate that top E-mail that's in Chinese? It's dated 6 december 2122 maybe? The date the last Bitcoin will be mined? Anyone that could translate what it says? Must be have some fun/clue in there. Or did i miss the translation earlier in this thread?
