Isn't it remarkable how a newbie with only 8 posts can so quickly find the topic about him? Seems almost as if he's not a newbie....

No matter how clever people think they are with fake personalities, avatars, names and faked speech styles, their reactions and insights cannot be faked.

TY! When I took the first screen shot, I noticed it there due to the cursor's location. I opt to keep it, but change the time to 1:11. Therefore, at the end, it was on purpose. Glad you noticed. BTW, the time stamp and image thereof do not coincide.

Quite sure it is. Here is some evidence (account he recently stopped using): https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=79926.msg885967#msg885967

Then the fact he tried to list a 4chan future, where he originally comes from, plus the ridiculous "Bitcoin Futuristics" nick. Have a look at that: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=63177.msg818050#msg818050 Everything reeking of Atlas.

He is easy to spot based on only one or two easy to detect posting features. But Blitzboom has the edge on me since I block the newbies boards and all new accounts have to start there. I don't want to reveal specifically what features, since they would be easy to stop doing and that would make our job harder, but they are very reliable indicators.

I don't want to reveal specifically what features, since they would be easy to stop doing and that would make our job harder, but they are very reliable indicators.

Indeed, he is very predictable, but oblivious to it at the same time.

I like this thread.Very amusing Cheesy. Sounds like hunting Atlas is fun.Add a bounty on top of that and that's just the icing on the cake for me.

Can someone fill me in on the Atlas story? I remember there was a poster by that name in the early parts of 2011 but was away from the forums for a while and missed whatever drama played out after that.

Although we make light of the subject, Atlas was an respectable member of this forum, but he killed himself due to Matthew always picking on him. We later learned that Atlas had a mental imbalance, of which he took medication. I wrote a number one best seller about Atlas and donated all the profits to the project mention on the following thread. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=84221.0

Here's the book available at stores where Bitcoin Magazine is sold.

I saw something on Freenet which made me think of this thread. Somebody using the name Atlas made a Sone account and started off by posting links to Silk Road and Armory. When a couple people asked if he was the same as the Atlas from here he freaked out, deleted the threads and marked the people who brought it up as spammers.

Standard Securities

I have created several securities that allow you to put your money on the price of Bitcoin.

These bonds will pay fully once Bitcoin hits a certain price, high or low.

One can even get returns by selling their bonds before fulfillment — and even by predicting initial market sentiment, buying and selling before a swing.

Just look for anything under the STANDARD name at https://glbse.com/assets .

Feel free to email about pre-IPO sales and any questions or comments you may have.

Wasn't he spamming reddit about how STANDARD was Meni Rosenfeld's and how everyone should totally just dive in and invest everything they have into it? The same spam where he defends it but doesn't mention once that he is investing into it and is just a "reporter"?

Seems like Atlas is only libertarian because he doesn't like laws against anti-trust, insider trading and conflict of interest in not disclosing ownership of stocks due to issues with price manipulation, pump and dumps, etc.

Fuck you Atlas. For life.

Seriously though, in 9 years from now when some of us are millionaires from our early adoption, early investments, high quality products, continuous risk taking and hard work into more professional and widespread markets, he'll be 27, still working at Walmart, and trying to get loans from us to fly to see his girlfriend on the internet and pay for printing out flyers to let everyone know the terrible secret of outer space.

I hope 9 years from now we have all experienced the terrible secret of outer space first hand. Well, those of us who don't have to get loans to visit our internet girlfriends, anyway.

Satoshi Nakamoto has written tens of thousands of words. A program exist that could possible identify him, but no one has used it. Yet, Atlas can be ID'ed with only one post, usually his first.

Shit, Matthew! You're on to me! I am not Atlas, but alas, I have thrown off my shackles of societal abuse and walked into the light. My enlightening prose is what must have you confused.

(I give myself 4/10.)

But he vehemently denies atlashood! This must be wrong.

Haha, he's like the Jesus of bitcoin.
There's so many stories and sightings that eventually people are going to wonder if there ever even was an Atlas.

Not much Atlasness there. Yes, Atlas is now an adjective to descibe a special breed of Randian hosebag. Perhaps he is on lithium?

Yeah, Atlas can be spotted from his first post, most times. BC Systems doesn't have that moral superiority that Atlas is known for.

Might as well put some of those Woolong devices to good use: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=106059.msg1163658#msg1163658

A's mom: Looks like our son has new friends arrivin'.
A' dad: Never seen any of them wearin' dark shades and suits before. Must be a new game he's a playin'.
SS: Is your son, going by the alias, Dr. Coin, home?
A' dad: Yep, sir. His a upstairs in the blue-light room ridin' his new honey.
SS: Is her name Honey Ryder?
A's mom: I think that's what he a said.
SS: Boys, I think we're goin' to need backup.
A's dad: From the sounds we hear daily comin' from Dr. Coin's room, I'm pretty sure she'll welcome the extra company.

I decided to add two of his old accounts, Jon and Atlas. There used to be an old, original account with the nick Atlas, but unfortunately it was deleted.

If I am missing any Atlases, please report so I can add them.

I suggest you visit and take a look at my Atlas collection: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=78149.0

Yes, this is Atlas.

I do keep an eye on your thread. It was what started to freak me out and made me start thinking that there must be an alternative explanation. That one person would be responsible for all Atlaslike annoyances of the forum started to make Atlas sound vaguely satanic.
Yes, I am certain all of these aliases are a person called Emanuel Ortego who lives in Texas whose face and voice we also know (public info on his part).

Posted here since I don't want to derail a legitimate thread.

Burtan has 18 posts and deleted 16 of them. He's a sockpuppet for someone, and he has that Atlas whining tone. Just saying.
