Either you apply the tag to all guys or take it off me then. Apply the policy fairly to all forum users.
It is, there just isn't anyone willing to investigate. If they are scammers then they probably would have a tag by now if there were anyone working the cases. I don't know if you just can't read or don't believe it, but there are literally 0 people who are willing to do the scammer investigations Maged did, and Maged isn't doing them for now. You're gonna have a hard time finding someone to give away their time for free. If you really want to see them get a scammer tag, then feel free to compile all the evidence, I'm sure Maged will give you some tips. Or just sit here and whine about it I guess. OK. I understand. Just clarify this for me : from now on, nobody gets scammer tagged anymore ever ? No, people are still getting scammer tags. There's always clear cut cases which don't take much work, or people dumb enough to admit to what they did, etc. Cases that aren't so clear, like several of the ones you've mentioned will likely sit in the pile until a better solution comes along. Like I said, feel free to do it yourself if you think they need a tag. Anyway, back to ignoring this thread. Thank god for the new watchlist, I never have to see this thread again.  I see ... How can I see the evidence in my case against me ? Also, what about setting up a scammer squad or scammer watch thread headed by me ( it takes one to know one  ), martychubbs, psy, bitlane etc. Well I'm not going to repost private communications, but if you ask theymos I'm sure he'll show you, it's only fair. |

Also, what about setting up a scammer squad or scammer watch thread headed by me ( it takes one to know one ), martychubbs, psy, bitlane etc. Are you calling me a scammer, or am I misunderstanding it?  Not calling anybody a scammer. I was talking about starting a thread in which smart people call out supposed scammers. I proposed the people : martychubbs called out A1BITCOINPOOL scammer psy is staff and can access IP logs and can smell a scammer from a mile away bitlane is internet detective and called out bitscalper etc. Only admins can see IPs, and that's the way it should be. The majority of the time they are using proxies anyway so it doesn't help much. |

When I'm the one who does all the work to request a checkuser, theymos has been nice enough to not take my thunder by posting the response himself (I wouldn't mind if he did, since he's the one who has to look it up, but it does make it more clear who is handling the case). Most of the time, I have to wait several hours for that information, which is why it takes so long to appear. I am more than happy to train anyone in doing a scammer investigation, just contact me. To make things easier for me, have a specific case in mind before asking me to train you, since I don't want to train people who'll never use the information. Plus, practical on-the-job training is so much better, anyway. And don't get confused, it is a job. It's insane what goes on behind the scenes... |

Looks like they are trying to play on the greedy sellers and pull a "got hacked bro" excuse there too leaving with all the BTC they stole with these high bids as the GBP is non existent and will never make its way to seller's bank accounts I predict. I would not trust those guys with a penny now. Seems like a easy plan to steal as much BTC as possible then take off into the sunset ... |

Looks like a nice arbitrage opportunity to me. Only 130BTC available at that price though, after that its 6.10GBP. Pirate's escapade has cleared out a lot of liquidity on the order books of exchanges, which is most likely why this happened. |

I wouldn't trust them either after how many times they've been compromised, but I wouldn't call them scammers either. |

Clearly a scam attempt to run with all the BTC and cash out. Hope I am wrong but I really doubt it. I would avoid depositing one Satoshi in there until the current issue is cleared up ... people should be warned hence the need for scammer tags. |
