Yes,chinese are already super power in many fields.Main reason for this is the availability of cheap labor and enormous amount of natural resources.But i think that they have made a grave mistake by trying to completely ban bitcoins.Instead,they should have tried to regulate it just as japan did.Due to their activity,china has lost its dominant position in bitcoin industry and very soon,it may loose its lion's share of bitcoins when more mining firms get located in various parts of the world.

China has captures every country markets and they are expert now in every sector like health, textile, clothing, electronics. They already are a nuclear power. They have the largest army in the world. What more war toys do you need? They are an economic superpower as well and control most of Bitcoin mining.

As they banned bitcoin they will lag in development and economy and this will be major thing that is playing vital role for countries to make name and more of it Chinese are not yet in that condition, japan has accepted bitcoin and this coin will lead the Japanese to enter the international markets and earn more for their regions and acceptance to new technology Is the key to lead the world.

Now that they've banned ICOs and limited Bitcoin exchanges, hard to say when that will happen. They have the potential to be, but they might be too risk averse to even consider taking the initiative in anything overly ambitious.

That is correct, they have the human capital and that is their strength, they can sure become super power but not realistic at the moment like you put it because there are a lot of their population in poverty and the government has a bigger headaches that focusing on banning crypto exchanges.

china is already a super power, there is a reason, why the US cannot wage war against china. during world war 2, china was still a sleeping giant, since they are really a timid people and after the war, china did invested on weapons as as well, that's the same reason, why india cannot go to war against china, though they have nuclear weapons as well, china has also nuclear weapons and what most countries fear is, they have everything in quantity, they have more weapons than the US, though US in technologically advanced, the chinese government can easily duplicate it and make it in mass production, that's why the US can just do trash talk to china and russia. and when it comes to bitcoin, they have a lot of bitcoin miners and mining equipment and it is just easy for them to mass produce and i think that in time, china will make bitcoin legal once they already have mined a lot of bitcoins and again will shock the community, hopefully china will become transparent and give out the number of miners that they have.

Exactly, but there will also be a negative impact on china because  the bad guys can use it to move assets in and out of china and influence their economy negatively. Drug barons could just be using it to make payments and buying properties in china and the Chinese government will be affected so it is not all rosy for them if they legitimize bitcoin.

People as a resource... with a population as large as China, you have to consider it an advantage that no other country can match. Even if China doesn't have the most advanced military, they can overcome a certain level of technological disadvantage with their excess population. As technological advancement evens the field, eventually they will have to be viewed as a super power. You're seeing the beginning of their posturing in the South China Sea. I would only expect this to become more militaristic in the future.

China is already a super power at the other side of the world in terms of population,military power and economics. China has been claiming islands on south china sea and neighboring countries cant fight back because they know that they will just lose the battle.
