China this, china that, why are you so obsessed with it?

China is killing itself trying to compete with the rest of the world, take a look at some documentaries and reports.
Theyre literaly killing themselves, and they wont be a competition for much longer

China has wealth in the hands of the next generation that is a real plus for them.  They also have a very poor and very large population to deal with.  The wealth gap is likely unsustainable and the people are likely to dissent more and more from the government as they try to control everyone.  China is playing to political game all over the world pretty well but they have real problems at home that will need to be addressed that's for sure.

I am pretty sure that China is already a super power. They have the most foreign currency reserves in the world. They have one of the biggest economies in the world. They have nuclear weapons. They have a very large military and one of the strongest military's in the world. They hold a seat on the security council at the UN.

What more do they need for you to think they are a super power?

It is already a super power. I am not only referring to their military or political status in the UN, I am talking about its huge economy which can influence the rest of the world. Economies of exporting countries around the world are very much linked to the demand in China. If they run into a recession or slow growth, it will inevitably resonate to other super economies.

China is already a "super power" in terms of economical and military status, that's why they aren't scared of oppressing small countries like the Philippines.

Quote
Nearly half of wealthy Chinese citizens plan on leaving the country according to a new report from British bank Barclays.
Some 47 percent of China’s wealthy citizens want to decamp from the communist nation, with the respondents pointing to Hong Kong and Canada as the most attractive destinations.

How can China become a super power if it already is one? It is at the forefront of the global economy

It's mainly the United States that is now struggling to come to terms with its $XX trillion debt

China does have an economy that does influence the rest of the world. I believe it is the 2nd largest economy behind the US. The fact that the US is such a large trading partner makes it much more difficult for them to influence others, however they do have influence.

World markets do watch the Chinese economy closely and generally perform poorly when the Chinese economy is showing signs of stress and showing signs of "slowing down"
