In reply to your first question, my answer would be "Sure, but you'd better make sure it's a damned good one."  I don't know the CFM/Static Pressure info on these (I think the labels were removed -- kind of like filing the serial number off a handgun, lol) but I think if you go to Dogie's review of the ASICMiner Tubes, he has some info on the fan THEY use -- and I bet it's similar.

Here's data on the stock fan: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=791827.msg9247490#msg9247490

Thanks for the data.  This fan is moving some serious CFM

Hey Canary -

Thanks for the group buy!

Any thoughts on the current leadtime?  I mean if I were to order today will it be a week out or more still?

TIA!

That's a question for ASICMiner.  They have posted some info regarding shipping delays etc... on their threads. I can tell you that once inventory arrives it's shipped out in the order of payments.
thanks

What email address should we send the shipping label to?  The one in your profile is hidden

*edit*
found it, I'm missed it.   Undecided

Also,  these miners should be ready to go once you have cgminer install on a computer?   No additional interface components required?

Has anyone here had luck with the Prisma using USB and a Raspberry Pi? I bought a unit from a grp buy member and can not get it to work.

I had it working. What's the issue? Do you get the USB device detected by Linux? By cgminer?

Hi All,

First Thank You Canary for doing the group buy!

Has anyone noticed that running these on the USB Controller is highly unstable?

I have two of my three units so far and both are highly unstable.  I can not get them to keep up at anywhere near 1.4Ths.  I can get them to run, but they drift all over the place from 600Ghs to an occasional burst at 1.5Ths.

I have tried running them on the RPi and the CubieTruck.  I have used the stock 4.7.0 CGminer, Fixed Debian Build of 4.7.0-1 CGminer, and the BlockErupter 4.6.1 build of CGminer from GitHub.  None have fixed or even made improvements.  I have tried both the standard (no --bet-clk option) and --bet-clk=23 timing.

One thing I have noticed is that there is a lot of extended output in the BlockErupter Controller, that shows the chip status.  Can we get that status from CGminer somehow?

Try pointing them at a pool port set for difficulty 2048 (S4).
I seen issues when when it comes to pool port set to vardif - units would hash for 1-1.25 hours then stop hashing - when this happen the difficulty would drop below 500 then bottom out and stop hashing till BE Controller was rebooted; had a similar experience on the RPi except it managed to hash for about 2.5hrs before dropping out.  Since I changed to pool port set to 2048 it has been going non-stop for over 21.5 hrs.

I currently have 2 prisma using CG Minera Rpi image - with AM CGminer fork - running great.  When I used the BE Controller the I could only have 7 of the 8 hashboards going - if I tried all 8 - one of the boards didn't work 85% of the time and had chips on 1 board go into PwrDn state (around 13 on both physical & logical blade).

Screenshots below are pool report hashrate, minera, & CGMiner output.  The drop in hash around 5pm seems to be pool or internet related as my 10 S3s also experienced a drop at the same time.

Atm 1/10 are in.

I am getting 2 Prismas + 1 Tube from Canary tomorrow (Monday).  If anyone is interested, I can send them out within 24 hours for 1.42 BTC for each Prisma and 0.81142857 BTC for the Tube (what I paid for them).  I will even pay for UPS ground myself (any other shipping is more expensive that it is worth).  I am not sure what controller shipped with them, but I believe it is the USB adapter.  I also have an imaged Pi from CG's group buy and the stand alone controller if people are interested in those.  I will sell those at cost as well.

If anyone wants equipment to ship tomorrow (with free shipping) and not have to wait, let me know.  Also, please make sure any payment request PMs are coming from me and not a similar looking name!
