all my Util I bought at 17k is worth only 4 BTC now ..  shoulda woulda coulda well break even ended up being @ 13k , wish i had more BTC spare to buy some of those cheap coins

How will you break even when someone decides to double their holdings by selling at 4k, etc, when you have bought at 17k?

At any point they could earn many multiples of what they bought at. I'm sorry, but the way I see it, you're selling at a loss lol.

Like what if someone owns 400k Util, right now and bought really cheap? Just saying.  Wink

If you think about it, Util is a in a grave right now, it ain't coming out.

Not even 0.5BTC to 350 sats.

This will go the way of flappycoin, soon it will only be traded in litecoins, if it still is. But seriously, what's stopping anyone from putting a 5btc buy? Maybe it's the ideology that this coin has no potential.

That's weak

What about that thread? Nothing fuddy there, just pointing out the obvious.

Relax, don't hate, i'm just saying how it is.

Hmmmm seems everyone is in a bull mood for no damn reason, I guess I should accumulate some. On the flip side, could be a desperate act to exit with minimal loss. I guess I would too if I felt bitcoin was going to be a bull soon.

Yeah.... probably a desperate attempt.

No I mean my break even is @ 13k I ran out of BTC buying down from 17k to 7k range

I am on pretty serious losses but no point in selling , I will keep on bag holding like I did with
UTC / AC / WC / NAUT / CINNI / CRYPT / KEY / UTIL

if Util hits 1 sat I might just convert some fiat to BTC and buy the lot ..

I hear the dev was working on something cool with Util,

Guys, dev is responding per mail again. He has some private issues, but is still really committed to this project.

He will post an update @ 1 dec around 4PM PST.

This user is currently ignored.

Trolling again I see.. Don't believe that Gunther is in contact with the developer (yes I clicked show). He has been proven a liar & a troll with earlier remarks.

I'm wondering if we could get a more technical discussion going? Instead of this pump and dump conspiracy theories, fudding, and other useless comments (except of course if you want cheaper coins).

I have been reading the anon whitepaper, and trying to get my head around it. Because if I could I might be able to implement the idea into the current UtilityCoin source (I have already offered my help to Dan (atcsecure) and Mike (utilitycoin) but they haven't been online for a while.

As far as I can tell by reading the whitepaper, it's a similar setup as DarkCoin with multiple masternodes used for mixing. With the big difference that mixing will be done at the masternode during the transactions with the help of a 'basin' instead of mixing beforehand.

I do not see how this could be set up as a trustless system, as there should be trust in the masternode to not be a bad actor. Or am I missing a key thought here?

the basin also poses a risk of the masternode being a high valued attack risk.

Anyone able to chime in, would be greatly appreciated.

I am bagholding, giving me quite some incentive to do some development for this coin. However I do not want to make any promises, and just trying to get some discussion going.

Useful remarks would be appreciated more.

Blocknet is moving to Slack!

The address will be theblocknet.slack.com.

There will be a registration form.

I am getting it set up right now. There are a few things I need to do first before it's ready.

Please monitor the Blocknet thread for updates.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=829576.0

In the meantime, visit slack.com and perhaps acquire yourselves a Slack app for your devices.

For those of you who have not used Slack yet, once registered you will have access to the BlockNET Slack 'team'. Within this 'team' will be a channel for each coin in BlockNET as well as other channels for random topics, trading, announcements, etc. We will need moderators for these channels.

I was thinking that maybe each coin in BlockNET could appoint a trusted supporter to help moderate.

We want this to be community-moderated.

Please PM me if interested in being a moderator.

Hang tight! It's almost ready.  Grin
