- an opensource hybrid blockchain that is based on the Bitcoin core code but with additional layers that allow Ethereum type virtual machines (Smart Contracts) and a bunch of security and functionality features not available on most other blockchains yet (real time checkpointing for 51% attack protection, working Proof of Stake, full wallet with token deployment). In essence you could migrate an entire Ethereum based token to the HTMLCOIN platform in a couple of hours and you would get the benefits of much better security and functionality and much faster transactions with really low fees.

- where is this confusion coming from? When was the last HTML faucet you know of? I've been following HTMLCOIN closely for over a year now and there wasn't any such faucet. And definitely not since the new HTMLCOIN (the swap started in Nov. 2017).

But things are moving along and HTMLCOIN is being launched for trading on more and more exchanges. Within the next few days HTML will start trading on HitBTC, a top 10 exchange. In the beginning it will trade against BTC, ETH and USDT, but as soon as ICOs are launched on the HTMLCOIN platform, those tokens will be traded on HitBTC as well and HTML will become a base currency (you'll have to double check this though - not in the announcement).

I'm still confident in HTML coin, but it was to bad for the POMA debacle. Dropping from 30 sats to 4 sats (and BTC dropping at the same time) wasn't fun.
