In IRC (#bittrex) merx pointed out that the Check for the POW blocks has been removed from the code, so you could mine blocks of any size you want..

I've tried to mine a giant block by modifiying some stratum code and as you can see - it worked.

The dev probably removed the amount checks from the code - personally I don't think it was a "flaw" from the dev, as this code usually is always in place in every fork of a coin.. So either the Dev is lying or he forked a coin that was a scam already..

dev is working with bittrex-richie to get this sorted, dev is not to blame, someone has a found a bug in the code and exploited it, luckily bittrex alarms went off and stopped the 10m coins inward transaction, so the person that exploited it diddnt get to dump, his coins are frozen. this coin should be good to go shortly.

Someone - probably the dev - has had a giant private pool with the modified stratum code. He mined blocks of the size he wanted on his own private pool and sold the coins on bittrex...

Makes me think that the dev's block explorer is also not showing the correct numbers... And now it comes clear for me too that MY block explorer, which was posted on the first or second page after the coin has launched, NOT got added to OP and later was even removed by a mod...

actually no this was on c-cex first. Bittrex is a popular exchange that list new coins for people to profit early. That is the name of the game things like this are going to happen. Now lets just open backup trading and carry-on with our lives

I didn't neither mine this coin, nor buy it.

But what makes me wonder as one of the investors in general is what's the guarantee any exchange asks to any dev. to provide before adding his coin to the market?

I mean it does not make any sense that after all these scam coins had crashed into crypto markets and yet no genius of the exchanges managers had thought about asking any dev. to provide ID etc.. before adding his coin to the exchange. Simple and lawful.


BitCoin's price is too low now, and cryto market can not take now more hits with adding scam coins/honest coins with no guarantee from any exchange's side cause, greed maybe?
