So to answer both of your questions in one go.

There was indeed a hard fork due to the instability in the old blockchain.

A swap period occurred about a year ago now, the old coins are unrecoverable in both cases.

The reason why a limited swap period occurred is because of the instability issues with our legacy blockchain and it was becoming impossible to maintain it, therefore creating an inability to track legacy coins.

Alas no, we have not finalised a road map.. we do have plenty of works happening such as a new website in the works, continual wallet updates and upgrades to the Whitenode platform.

We will in time get a road map finalised which outlines these in a more structured way.
