Whoops, I was going to check the site and see what the current power was, and run that through tpbitcalc to get an idea of how much variance there would be over 10-12 months. But the site is down ATM. Here's hoping it's back up soon and I'm going to go make up some numbers and see how that works.

For a slightly better guess, I think pyramining mentioned being able to find a block around every three days solomining. As long as I'm not making that up, the variance would generally effect people with accounts larger than 100BTC, although the payouts would be the same (or better).

With a slightly fancier setup, it may be possible at that point to mine directly to the addresses for payout (though that would require the blocks to mature before spending and all that mess).

Using the pool hash rate of 95.7 GH/s and current difficulty a block would be expected on average every 1.4 days source. So accounts above ~150BTC would notice larger payments less frequently. That seems workable to me at least, once it can be setup to the satisfaction of the pool operator being the last obstacle.

Hello. In my profile information "Equivalent hashing power" has no value. Is that normal?

For some reason this always only shows up when you refresh the side after a few minutes. Nothing to worry about.

Actually ~ 80% of the hashing power is directed to abcpool, the 20% remaining is split between p2pool, ozcoin and btcguild.

Regarding solo mining I am planning to do it, but I am not convinced to point miners directly to bitcoind. There are almost no info about the progress and it would be harder to check if something is going wrong. I'm planning to install a backend (like pushpoold) and use it for mining. I am doing some tests in these days, when it will be ready I will announce it here. Any advice is welcome.

If I were you I'd point all to p2pool with a high difficulty, like 1000 or even more, so that other lower hashing power p2pool miners are not too affected.

ps. You could also try to use http://hhtt.1209k.com/ which is PPS with a low fee when using high difficulty shares.

So I jumped the gun pouncing on the Pyramining offer not realizing (as I didn't do the math) that the bitcoins I have (and have deposited) are not sufficient to make Pyramining a viable option for me at this stage. Is there a way for me to get a refund? I haven't gotten any payouts yet as my rewards have not reached the 1 BTC threshold and i could use the BTC in the account to make other investments so that I can get up to a point where I could make a viable deposit as suggested of 10 BTC upwards. Is this possible. Doesn't say anything about this in the FAQ.

Previously there was someone who was willing to buy out pyramining accounts. I don't know the specifics or if they're still doing it. Maybe they'll see your post and respond, if not you may be able to get someone else to do the same, but it may be at a loss overall.
