Yeah, However the first reason was that : It was only a leisure time of a well known member of the community. The emotional state of him  must have changed very soon and then logically the coin died.

I simply look at Vol.  If its under .1 BTC i consider it dead and stay away from it.  However.  It may become active at some point so.  No coin is ever really dead. Just may not be traded.  So, Just stay away from coins with no BTC Vol.  Thats how I do it anyway.

Another LottoShares  Added to:COINS LAUNCHED IN AND AFTER OF SEPTEMBER 1ST 2015.

Normally I dont do a post to new coins only on special cases like this because it is using a same name of another coin. And it is against of rule 7. Dev was warned. If he dont change the name I could add this to Died coins automatically.

Go mess, Please discard the notice I have listed already on Special Cases the original  LottoShares(LTS)  *Bug which the dev couldn't fix.

It is the stand-alone coin was abandoned by its developer @FreeTrade back in January.  He said that  the algorithm didn't work. But looks like that  a couple of people restarted mining it in June, On that case they could keep using the name and not  the new  Issued Asset on BitShares.

Yes, some of the names are clearly ill-conceived.

e.g.
Quote
“To be perfectly honest, we underestimated the reservations against the fuck word. Most of the major exchanges are US based and we thought people were more open in 2014. We had it all, the initial lol moment, people were digging fuckcoin, but no exchange, no matter how hard we tried, was willing  to add fuckcoin with the FUCK symbol. We even heard of refunded BTC "exchange votes" from the community. This is why there was no update on the fuckcoin wallet.”

For an extensive list, see https://minkiz.co/coin/name/

There were a few coins I thought were dead that came back to life. The NAS blockchain stopped moving for months and you couldn't withdraw from exchanges, although there were still a few markets with next to no trades. After some new devs took over they got the blockchain running again, and it shot up to the first page of coinmarketcap. Some big money went through the exchange's NAS markets to get it back in the top 100 coins. Apparently *dead* coins can come back to life.

Oh yeah they can for sure.  But they usually don't.   I would have to guess it would also depend on what the coin is used for and if it is worth being revived.
