A little update on progress for Beta 2.



The upcoming PoSA Beta 2 wallet has taken a little longer than expected finish the internal testing and bugfixing stage due to us needing to make a few additional changes. As you are probably aware, we always ensure that we have ample time to test and fix a pending release internally before releasing it to the wider Cloak community. The biggest change for this release is the addition of Onion Routing to Cloak Shield. As you can probably imagine, that is a rather substantial change which has required some tweaking and tuning during testing to make sure everything runs as fast and reliably as possible, while maintaining as high security as possible. Some additional Onion Routing functionality has also been added to force PoSA announcements and PoSA requests to ALWAYS be Onion Routed using Cloak Shield. This means that ALL PoSA related traffic on the Cloak network is now encrypted and Onion Routed to maintain anonymity. We have also added the option to Onion Route all non-PoSA transaction data too, so you can submit standard transactions to the network securely using Cloak shield (there's a new option in the Options dialog to toggle this). This also applies to staking, which is important for maintaining anonymity when generating 'stake' blocks, which could otherwise be used as a means to associate IP addresses with CLOAK addresses. Thanks to Cloak Shield and its inbuilt Onion Routing, this is now taken care of. We also identified a potential issue that could cause a PoSA transaction to get stuck in the senders wallet and never confirmed. This issue has now been resolved, but took us a day or so to pin down.
 
There has been some discussion in the Cloak community in relation to Cloak Shield and TOR and how they inter-operate. We will be releasing a video outlining how Cloak Shield and TOR compliment each other to maintain anonymity on the Cloak network. Rest assured that even without TOR, Cloak Shield provides ample protection to protect your anonymity
 
Q. OK, OK... but when will Beta2 be released?

A. We are tentatively estimating that Beta2 will be released within a week. We will announce the release deadline a few days before launch, as we did with Beta1. As always, we reserve the right to hold the release back by a few days in order to address any potentially critical bugs discovered in testing. Rushing releases out of the door is all well and good, but we will not release a sub-standard product just to save face (and leave users struggling with bugs). We're doing this right!

My wallet (windows with auto sync) crashes for some reason on win8.1 , how can I solve this ?   for example: clicking "Cloak trade" causes this..
also, setting a passphrase causes this.
