During my time in cloak we built:

Exchange anon.
In wallet trading.
The first versions of proof of stake anonymity that I labelled PoSA.

All of that was available for Cashman.

If you check the original thread you'll see that public and closed public testing took place for PoSA during my time running Cloak, so to say there was nothing is just totally misleading people.

The only thing that wasn't correct was my developer telling me there was work completed for the latest version of PoSA which it turned out that wasn't the case.

So please let's not overlook the fact the original team did a hell of a lot for that coin. Cloak didn't get to where it was on 2014 on thin air, you just have to go back and read through some of the original thread to see that. The fact it was pump and dumped by "whoever" back then was also totally out of the original Cloak teams hand.

I kind of expected to get the newb comment and fare enough. But I was here from the beginning and only now decided to jump into the fire with all of you.

Never have I intended to disrespect Cashmen. We owe him everything for his hard work. I do believe there is a bright future for Cloak I just wanted to say what I think some of us are thinking. I'm still holding strong like all of us regardless of the name change or not.


And yes, I literally laughed out loud when Alty replied....didn't see that one coming. Gone are the days when we would wake up in the morning and be so excited to see his name on the thread.......what a joke

Now is not the time to rebrand, period. There is a wealth of name recognition out there that needs to be turned from bad to good, not erased. Keep the name, promote the product EVERYWHERE and lets give c4shm3n the support he deserves. Remember, without him, we would all have NOTHING to consider rebranding...

I think it's great that Alty wants to help, he has been around and had connections.  As long as a cashmen is the base keeper, I think it is great.

I think it's very bad idea the name change of the currency.
with their mistakes and their successes, CLOAK is already known in the world of altcoins and change the name only serve to confuse potential investors with suspicions and fears scam that generate new coins coming to market.
As to allow alty CLOAK to collaborate with the team, I also seems a bad idea, since it is associated with all the worst moments of the coin.
We now have a large development team that fulfills all its promises, have become a totally anonymous CLOAK currency without masternodes.
I sincerely believe that what we need most right now is a good promotion and have patience for investors to realize the wonder of currency we have.

Alty, You might have founded Cloak and Kudos to you but clearly its been too long for people to remember what happened during your time, Your promises and deadlines were constantly pushed back and in the end were clearly not met since c4shm3n had to take over. During the Dump and with
people obviously worried about what was happening you went missing and eventually when you did reply you said the Dev team went on holiday... You said recently you offered support and could contribute but if the Devs were smart they would reject it in a heartbeat! c4shm3n said on the 23/07/2015 We were told the PoSA3 project was complete, but this was not so. The code was messy, broken and incomplete. When I asked Alty about it, I never received an answer. He had said everything was almost done, but nothing was done, not even 10% plus There remained only a shell, We had to do everything from scratch, the team concept, the code, etc. Only the name has stuck. Well i don't need to say much more than that since that speaks for itself!

I agree that a open discussion is needed with a rebrand, clearly what happened before c4shm3n time is still affecting Cloak now but if the Dev team believe its best not to change the Cloak brand then i will support that.
