@Coin2 team and community, In the past HYPER and C2 had a partnership where we helped each other, the HYPER team would like to start this back up again. Currently, HYPER is holding gaming competitions with weekly and monthly prizes on servers we provide and pay for. Our goal is to get other gaming currencies to join us and help expand our communities by pooling our resources. Doing so, we would like to extend this offer once again to the C2 community and see if you would be interested in joining our competitions by sponsoring weekly prizes of C2. We do not require any coins be sent to us, rather the one who sponsors it would simply provide a certain amount of C2 for the prize and then send them to the winners. If you are interested in joining the Crypto Gaming Competition please send me or crazyjack a message and we can go from there. Please note, we do not want funds for the server cost itself as we have that covered, only C2 prizes. This tournament has been ongoing since August 2017, it's information can be found here, https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2058999.0

I contacted with Nrigo, gladly I did. Originally I am going to propose to Coin2 moves to next stage after all these years hard work with many existing games being implemented with coin2 and gone un-notice by the crypto communities at large. The idea is to change the algo or create a version of mother token with Bitcoincash Cash fork then convert all the existing Coin2 as GAS continue to use in gaming but will be delisted in exchanges. Coin2 will be automatically swap to new coin back and flow. The new Bitcoin Cash fork Coin2 will be airdrop to Bitcoin Cash holder 10 to 1 and Coin 2 holder will be 10 to 1, remaining will go to assist Coin 2 further focus in the area. I even try contact an ICO exchange for the concept.
However, I find out Nrigo have done even better Job. After all these times keep silence and let Coin2 team pursuit their area of interest, seems pay off. I am very excited.
I still hold 2 wallets each with the 1+mil of C2 untouched for more than couple yr. I recall one of the wallet used to be at 13th place in richest list. hope you guys continue the good work. If necessary, I will donate 10% of my holding to Coin2 where funds needed during swap and 5% toward the faucet again as I did in the past.
Cheer. Happy New Year.
When is the swap supposed to take place? In Q1 or Q2 2018 Novaexchange is closing soon, and people storing C2 on it might not withdraw before it closes. Is there a way to find out which addresses belong to Novaexchange and exclude them from the swap? Novaexchange will temporary close next year because it was sold. They announced the Coin2 delisting a few days ago: https://novaexchange.com/news/. If you have some C2 there, please withdraw them to your wallet or to an other exchange.

Most of users already moved their coins from Novaexchange and you can see less than 20k C2 for sale in the orderbook https://novaexchange.com/market/BTC_C2/. Why would you like to exclude these addresses? HAPPY NEW YEAR ALL!

There could be a substantial quantity stored there by users who haven't placed sell/buy orders. New owners are buying the exchange, and they won't honor old balances. Why should the old owners get a substantial quantity of coins for free when they close the exchange?

Why should the old owners get a substantial quantity of coins for free when they close the exchange? I wouldn't say it was free, it isn't cheap hosting a coins daemon, storing trade data, and providing a gateway to trade. Since the C2 Nova market wasn't very active I'd be willing to say they have put far more into keeping it there than the ones who use it due to the lack of fees from trading. They've spent all this time providing this service at what is most likely a loss for them, that is a good reason not to try and burn someone. Nova gave ample warning to users to withdraw their coins and stated any coins left will be considered a donation and you want to take away their donations? By the way, it isn't possible to know what each of their addresses are unless they make them public.

Since I'm a gamer and in the same time a lover for Bf1 and its series, Cs go and all of the games, I think this coin will have a huge impact for people like me it will attract us. After reading its aims and objectives, I think it's one of the best projects and Icos ever made

@nrigo
Is proof of space also being considered as well? It's a pretty neat feature I enjoy about Burstcoin. Multi-Algo PoW (3 or perhaps more?) + Proof of Stake + Proof of Space
PoW = 20%+20%+20% PoS = 20% Proof of Space = 20%
Would make for a really secure block chain.
Also what are your thoughts on having a very quick block time? Something like 7.5 or 10 seconds? Transaction times would be super fast; perhaps faster than any coin out there and hopefully we can have low fee's on top of that.
Proof of Space (or Proof of Capacity) could be considered as well. Thank you for this great idea We have to be very careful with the block time and with the block reward. Super fast transactions could also mean super fast inflation. You're very welcome! Yeah I was thinking proof of space (proof of capacity) could be appealing for those with poor hardware but also as a green energy efficient claim we can add to the resume. Good point on inflation. Hope there's a way we can have the fastest transactions of all coins but keep inflation in check. I agree, the green energy efficient is a very good argument. The first challenge is to find a balance with the block reward and the block time for the 100% PoW period, including super blocks or not. What do you think of 0.75 Mil, 0.5 Mil for standard blocks + 0.25 Mil for super blocks? What's about a 20,000 blocks duration ? After this, we could imagine a first transition to hybrid PoW + PoS and a second transition to PoS + PoC x blocks later. The new coin could start with a 4 minutes block time during the 100% PoW period and the transaction speed would increase with each hybrid activation. MERRY CHRISTMAS ALL! I think those numbers are pretty nice. I've been thinking about the block time lately and considering what you've been saying about your concerns of inflation if the block time is too fast. If your considering 4 mins couldn't we lower the reward to compensate for the quicker block time? For example if we divide the reward by 60 we could have the block time at 4 seconds instead of 4 minutes but still keep inflation at the same rate. I just think if possible we could really be onto something if we could claim the fastest coin while also being one of the most energy efficient coins (PoS+PoC). Those two claims on top of the masternodes and superstake could propel us to the top 50 coins in a short time.

I agree, now there are thousands of coins, and in my personal opinion, soon the useless coins will no longer be monitored. For sites like coinmarketcap, and other, it becomes increasingly difficult to manage thousands of coins. You have to be among the first 100-200 coins to get visibility.

While we're on the topic of implementing the best features and ideas we can to improve the new coin I think we should definitely implement Segwit from the start. The lightning network is going to release sometime this year and we could capitalize on this by planning ahead.

Do we have bootstrap?
Time ago there was...now I do not know. However all the blockchain of C2 at this time is 2.14 GB...no like that of Bitcoin which is 160 GB ... synchronizes in a short time. If nrigo wants, we can create a new bootstrap.

Is there still a coin swap consideration? I remember seeing a note about 2018 possibly? Good to see some recent volumes though, 20% gains is never a bad thing.

I know there was talk of a swap last year. Is there someplace I can submit an email and get a notification of when the swap is going to happen, if it happens?

Yes, there is. I mentioned Q1 or Q2 2018 in a previous post. Coin2 is back to the fore
