1) Sure there will be some algos that are GPU only no question about that. But will it be profitable enough to mine those GPU coins? I don't know.

How I see it it's not about GPU vs ASIC, it's My GPU vs other GPU's, ASIC's, FCGPA's, other mining devices and markets. Other GPU miners also get better every day, I'm actually really surprised there isn't(?) yet a youtube channel or a blog that lists most profitable coins daily and tells how to mine them. It would take only a couple of days and everything would be leveled somewhere to ZEC.

The lux mod doesn't have a buildt in fee. So your problem is eigher a pool problem, you are running the wrong batfile or a virus problem..

1) Just like in every other sphere there are smart and active people and stupid/lazy ones. There are a lot of such channels with selfproclaimed guru's and a horde of stupid/lazy go to wtm and channels and make every coin there unprofitable to mine . But there are a lot of better paths to choose for smart people.

2) You don't know people greed and stupidness. Even the most obvious scams blossom because of that. BCC for example - simplest ponzi scheme but people invest more and more. XSH - shittest of the shit but people buy and price rize x1000 times already.

After XPY I thought I've seen it all but BCC really surprised me, I guess there's a new generation of greedy fools ready to be slaughtered.

But OneCoin beats them both, "cryptocurrency" with blockchain so private that there never was a proof that it even exists, billions of fiat gone, same scammers are moving to "cloudmining" business.

Bitfinex/ USDT at least has a blockchain but that shit was never audited and at this point it's safe to say it never will, good luck trying to cash out.

XSH is a perfect example of latest generation of shit that started last summer, wonder if the same factory is behind all of these new "fair" projects. They have a serious problem with distribution, three months later when there's only 3% left of block reward, higher price tag at exchange doesn't mean someone is buying it, it's more like

The lux mod doesn't have a buildt in fee. So your problem is eigher a pool problem, you are running the wrong batfile or a virus problem..

Any updates on x17 improvements or any other miner?

Kind of a side request, but it doesn't seem as though anyone has compiled Alexis's miner with cuda9. I assume there would be various speed improvements with the miner with cuda9 as all other branches have seem to have seen a increase in speed (after working through all the quirks).

well, I guess this can happen with many pools. Sometime  problem is just with front-end, shares not shown, but counted normally, and after some time pool owner fix the issue.

New to the community here.  Is there a FAQ or any documentation that discusses what the .05 BTC donation includes.  For example, what is a private miner, what are the updates, and what are the advantages of using these miners for that price?

I'm sure this has been discussed in the past but I've gone through several pages and haven't seen anything.  There's just too much history in this thread to completely dig though.

1. Hashrate might be slightly lower, but missing devfee
2. Check your own miner with virus total, you will find it full of trojans )
4. Someone paid you for the miner, and then decided it worth to distribute it.  Soft is GNU based, so should be distributed for free
3. You have violated GNU license so many times, so not you should complain  about stolen work
