sp does open source at least some of his modifications eventually. That's good enough, and he has therefore contributed infinitely more than most of the people whining for him to make everything 'free'. I can't believe he has to endure so many idiots begging for others to leak his stuff in this very thread.
if he stops, mining won't lose anything, just everybody will be in the same condition, and will use open source miners. Some big farms will have less advantages to others. sp does not provide new unique miners, he just modifies other work

People add a GPL license to make sure it stays 'free', but in this case as has been talked about multiple times, it's perfectly legal for big companies or farms to modify it and use it internally without distributing it to anyone else.
this is not true. You may sell products based on GNU, the obligation is to provide sources of your product upon request. Yup, and if you continued to read my post you would've seen I addressed that point. What happens when he open sources his private bins that include speed increases? Pretty self explanatory. At least right now you have people redistributing his work, not his source code. sp does open source at least some of his modifications eventually. Some big farms will have less advantages to others. sp does not provide new unique miners, he just modifies other work You're a idiot. There are companies that do what you're doing right now only 10,000 times bigger. You're not a unique snowflake. Do you think they employ staff? Do you hire staff? You know you can hire people like SP and get them on a payroll. That's neat... And you wouldn't be in this thread begging for SPs miner if you didn't see it making a big difference in how much you make. It's even worse with easy to optimize miners that no one takes time to do because they aren't paid. It took three months of good mining before Equihash was up to snuff on Nvidia hardware and you know who eventually did it? A big company, Nicehash, hired their own internal programmer to work on it. That's regardless of the amount of pleading, poking, prodding, trying to throw money at people around here I attempted to do. It wasn't a small difference either. It was a order of magnitude difference. 1070s started out at around 22sol and ended at 480. Claymore was on top of his shit because he is PAID to do what he does and does it very well. We don't have a Claymore, the best we have is SP. 'Just' having a miner is pointless if it can't compete with other miners on the market. Although that's a crude way to put it when big farms don't need to put theirs on the market. So unless you intend to learn CUDA and compete with SP you can take your GPL threats and shove them. No one is EVER in the same 'condition' here. All it is, is an illusion that you think you know what's going on. I covered all of this if you read my original response.

0.05 btc. subscription with free updates.
$741 for a miner that is free elsewhere.... out of your mind.. your tweaks and updates don't make it THAT much better, if at all. Don't worry - there are a lot of bensam's here. They will buy. I find amusing the way you are making fun of bensam

It does not matter what happens if he used open source. Either obey GNU license, and follow the rules, or do not use source with GNU license in your work.

Finally you've got it. Idiots like you, living in first world countries, make 2.5$ from 1070. While smarter people from third world made 10xROi in 6 months and 17 days. That all because of different "condition". Eat it sucker!

1 per algo of course, miner will support only algo you've paid + future updates for this algo. However in the future sp may decide update is too good, and add a additional dev fee to it

By using stolen sp-mod optimized binaries without supporting me with a dime, and then brag about it on the internet afterwards.

Can someone help me mine with 3x1030. Nicehash for a week is giving me some ridiculously low profit. Something for a newbie would be fine. I have an account in Supernova for LBRY but when I configure the miner it just exits the bat after launching. Same for Monero on Nanopool TSIV.

Does anyone know of a program or website which scrapes Nicehash api and puts it into a nice chart like they used to have before they tried to obfuscate earnings on their website? Data from their website is quite useful for analyzing trends. Whattomine already scrapes it for earnings, but I'm looking for something a bit more condensed. Yup, and if you continued to read my post you would've seen I addressed that point. What happens when he open sources his private bins that include speed increases? Pretty self explanatory. It does not matter what happens if he used open source. Either obey GNU license, and follow the rules, or do not use source with GNU license in your work. There is another option here... No. That's what happens when rules aren't enforceable or no one cares enough to enforce them. So instead we argue the morality of such a thing in the first place. I see absolutely no reason why SP should follow GPL guidelines especially when he's benefiting other people who otherwise wouldn't have the option to get a better miner, as I mentioned he's not the only one making miners, you just don't have a chance to buy those.
