The "retailers" will jack the price up wiping out any ROI potential that ever existed unfortunately.  Sad

Decentralization continued, really??.  Sorry Bitmain, while you guys have provided lots of good product to consumers the decentralization train left the station some time ago.

And now they are making all for de-decentralisation with this "A minimum order quantity of 60 is required"... Which home miner can buy such quantity?... It costs 12.754 BTC!!! (For me, a humble home miner) I want to buy 10, 20 of them. I want to have a choice, but who care about it? Bitmain better stop lie about decentralisation.

What else can I say... Oh, yes: WHERE IS NEW FIRMWARE FOR S2?!!! And promised upgrade...

Too expensive.

But nice gear.  If I buy 60 for 56 each with shipping I need to sell them at 95-100 each on ebay.

I would make 10 bucks each.

I don't think I can sell them at 95-100 each on ebay.

I would prefer them with no psu and much less money.

I wonder if I can buy 60 with no psu's. at 30 usd each.

$26 for a plug pack, from China?

Maybe if it was from a top quality company, but lets face it, the rule of buying anything with a power supply from China is to bin it to avoid the explosion/fire.

Just annoys me that they did away with the USB Dongle design, asking buyers to take a punt on something costing £15-20 is easier than £80 (bare minimum) when you consider there are a ton of S1's kicking around on eBay going for less, no need for a pc, and with simple editing of a file, will give more gh/s for around the same amount of power usage (possibly).

Bring back the U1/2 form factor, and you'll have a deal.

I believe Dell will have much bitcoin revenue. Don't forget about the 10% discount using bitcoin....

S4, C1, and now U3... that's a lot of new product releases recently. An impressive amount of innovation from Bitmain.

Dear Bitmain, You are charging too much for this product. Thank you.

50$ seems a quite fair price considering the production costs couldnt be much cheaper.. it is still a nice piece of hardware.
problem is if you pay in bitcoin, the bitcoin rate is too low and hence, you wont ROI the BTC you invested.
so you either wait for the btc rate to explode and pay it with BTC dust. or you just dont.

It comes with a not  needed psu that just drives the cost up two ways. shipping and of course paying for the psu.

I would order 60 with no  psu's for 30 usd each.  No one should buy bitmaintech product if they have psu's.  I am tired of paying for the shipping and the psu when I can get better psu's and in fact as I type have more then 50 psu's and bricks on hand.

Looks cool, don't think anyone would be buying these to try and make any sort of money out of them, but a great novelty item to give as a gift to people who are yet to join the world of Bitcoin.

Just a shame that the minimum order quantity is so high, 10pc would be resonable (dogie have a word mate....) Smiley

this is a good item.  but not at 56 plus shipping with an included psu.

first off anyone  into btc coins should be running one of these at a solo pool such as

http://solo.ckpool.org/

or http://www.solopool.net

or http://bitsolo.net/

yeah you won't hit but for the right price it can be an endless lottery ticket.

30 bucks each use your own psu. power 50 watts  this is  36 kwatts a month   whats that at the worst 35 cents x 36 = 12.60 a month for a shot at a block.

easy to promote as a shot for a block.  and low cost 30 up front and 3 to 12 a month in power.
