It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

Several hundred thousand, at one point; no idea how many remain, but they're extremely difficult to find.

Especially because they're newspapers, people use them and throw them , which are then recycled

Wow. Can't believe its been six years. What a fool I was to let that paper be thrown out. Then again, I was young and who knew what Bitcoin was. Oh well...
