The recent NASDAQ news could push some upwards move into the bitcoin, but i definitely dont think it will reach 10.000$.

At best 1000$ if Greece gets messed up, but definitely not 10.000$.

Probly next year though.

The Cyprus haircut gave no boost to the Bitcoin exchange rates. So I don't think that there will be any significant impact from a possible Grexit. Right now, the Bitcoin based businesses, especially exchanges and markets are plagued by wallet robberies and inside jobs. Normal people think that keeping their money in BTC is not worth the risk.

Don't say that it "went back to $1000".... because in reality, BTC never hit $1,000 in 2013. The Mt Gox guys rigged the orderbook, and thereby artificially spiked the prices to hit the 1K mark. In real, BTC never ever hit $1,000.

The price right no is pretty stable for bitcoin and i doubt it will go to 1.000 soon, it can go up if some major events happen like a popular site adopting bitcoins as a form of payment and things like that but until then i dont think the price will go up any time soon by itself.

IMHO even then it would not move the needle that much. It would require more global acceptance at both merchants and from the government.

Web-based wallets are making it easier to acquire and recieve Bitcoins but the process itself is still much harder than using your good old credit or debit card. Until they make that easier as well, Bitcoins will remain mostly speculative and stay a semi-fringe currency.

Ok guys lemme reveal you a little secret. Go to google trends about bitcoin:

And you can see how many people have searched for bitcoin in google. The more they search, the higher the price usually goes, as it's directly correlated with the price.

At the moment it stabilized, so the price will hover between 200-300$, but when it will start going up, then expect the price of bitcoin to grow.

It's possible, the infrastructure is growing by the day. I think within 5 years we will see prices over 10K but there are a lot of factors at play. One thing alone could do it.

Clearly not. We will be slowly reversing the down trend from 2014 and won't see much upside action. I would say we spend most of the year in the horizontal trend, range-bound between $200 and $300 and some solitary and short-term spike towards $400 may happen, but that is it.

Don't know why, but whenever BTC starts going upside, even at a speed of a snail, some bad news come up and f**k it all the way towards down, so there's hardly any chance for BTC to be able to reach $10k this year at least...

AFAIK, if it will always remain the same, I don't think BTC will ever reach even $1k as investors' confidence will start lacking due to all these sudden things coming up and ruining the opportunities of better values...

We are somehow getting more immune to the scam news and now it takes quite a lot of stolen coins to have any direct impact on the price of Bitcoin. Sadly, this still happens and, if frequent, it may in the end have bigger impact, as you say. All we need, is more fundamental developments that will strengthen the adoption to convince more people to use Bitcoin. Once the trend reverses and the are more positive news, we may see the rise again. Of course, there is also a possibility of another purely speculative bubble, but that would be very negative for Bitcoin in the long run.
