You totally win that bet - here's just some of the stuff that was shoveled out of sight & that was still after a good 30 minutes clean up (I don't have maids like evoorhees unfortunately) & @psy, nope I ordered a 3 month sub on the 25th of May when the first issue had just been printed.

Is that a gold-bar USB stick where you keep your bitcoins? (similar to http://www.amazon.com/HDE-Gold-Bar-Flash-Drive/dp/B00443EWG2/ref=pd_sim_sbs_misc_2)

Companies claiming they got hacked and lost your coins sounds like fraud so perfect it could be called fashionable.  I never believe them.  If I ever experience the misfortune of a real intrusion, I declare I have been honest about the way I have managed the keys in Casascius Coins.  I maintain no ability to recover or reproduce the keys, not even under limitless duress or total intrusion.  Remember that trusting strangers with your coins without any recourse is, as a matter of principle, not a best practice.  Don't keep coins online. Use paper or hardware wallets instead.

Indeed it is, well spotted eagle eyes, though with the lenders forum interest rates with guaranteed returns being 1.5 - 2% per week! & pirate pass throughs of 6.9% per wk compound, let alone direct with pirate for 7% it's no surprise that that usb storage bar is empty atm, just as I would love a 1oz gold Casascius BTC1,000 coin but atm the opportunity cost is too high for me as in 1 year I could buy 2 by safe lending.

edit: one needs BTC1,000 Casascius gold coins that can also be loaned, the btc of them that is...    Tongue

I think he's referring to scammy ponzis, investments that hide their source of capital, unverified stocks/bonds, etc.

mine finally arrived today Smiley

"We are just fools. We insanely believe that we can replace one politician with another and something will really change. The ONLY possible way to achieve change is to change the very system of how government functions. I love that those books are used for monitor stands.

Bitcoin combines money, the wrongest thing in the world, with software, the easiest thing in the world to get wrong.

Haha most I didn't actually open much. I did learn the stuff in there, just not from the books, mostly. Big waste of money >_< Especially the solid state physics one I didn't open, it's really thickly written. And it was €80 Angry

Oh well, it does serve a purpose now Cheesy

I would sell gold-bar Bitcoin-branded USB sticks if I didn't worry about the liability or even the prospect of someone blaming me for the loss of their BTC were one to fail - something which would be beyond my control.  I hear that budget USB sticks get bottom-of-the-barrel-quality flash chips - the ones that didn't make the cut for more expensive products - so I haven't wanted to go there.

I was holding these back for an article, but I decided to leak them here instead. The issue in the photo got a little wear on the ride to Korea.

Enjoy!
