When I was a child I caught a fever. My hands swelled up like two balloons. Now I've got that feeling once again...  Embarrassed

Forgive my petulance and oft-times, I fear, ill-founded criticisms, and forgive me that I have, by this time, made your eyes and head ache with my long letter. But I cannot forgo hastily the pleasure and pride of thus conversing with you.

I dont think BTC is just a pump and dump coin. As you might have already known, pumping btc isn't all that easy anymore... the real whales are rare. pumpers only start their pump, if they expect, that followers will buy back their pumped coins, that what's mostly gonna happen

No one really knows, more to a plain pump-n-dump than rigid financial ideology. This simple answer should be correct:

I don't have any doubt that this was all just big pump and dump, but my theory is, even the BTC creators didn't realize that Bitcoin would go this far.

BTC just like another cryptos is just a pump and dump, but as btc takes on the role of galactic credits, pumps and dumps will increasingly become impossible

Pumping btc seems to be an impossible task now. It is just dump and dump.

I have no doubt that the rise from $135 in October 2013 to the $1200 mark that December was a pump originating from the Mt.Gox exchange. Whether that was by Mark and his team or other players would be pure speculation, but my guess would be this guy:

No bitcoin was not just a pump and dump, it serves a purpose and no one uses it for what it was meant for. Just because the users and investors are ignorant to the investment and object they are using does not make that object a scam Smiley It make the users and investors idiots.

People use Bitcoins, I use bitcoin. Right now we are in a lie financially in the sense that the Dollar is gaining value and the American bubbles didn't pop.
When the truth will be exposed, Bitcoin will grow back really fast to 1000$ and even much higher.

How do you figure it was a big pump and dump?  I don't quite get how anyone can even think that...

I believe that this is just how the technology will grow. Its still pretty new and uncontrolled or regulated. If you look at how many rules and regulations are on fiat to prevent all things that are currently happening to bitcoin. Its just a matter of time before bitcoin has the same regulation to reduce these things from happening.

Surprised this thing has gone 16 pages already. Just because a thing is pumped and dumped doesn't make that thing a pump and dump. Get it?
