It's certainly futile for to do, but it wont stop them from trying. Just look at how many piracy sites get blocked but they are easily accessible just by quickly googling a proxy. Of course there's always tor as well. It certainly will be interesting to see in the near future which governments try to ban it and how. Hopefully non will be as stupid, but I'm sure there will be at least one.

I think that Bitcoin specifically does not have a future not only in Russia but in the entire world. I believe it will become an amusement of sorts, a “side-hobby,” though very beneficial for developing new concepts, creating new algorithms, software, improving information security, etc.

I consider the Bitcoin ecosystem as a prototype of a system that is undergoing rigorous testing from all sides. With experience and further innovation, I think it is very possible that the blockchain will have a very bright and promising future.

It is what he views about bitcoin. He  is one of  the older generations who is reluctant to learn and adopt new technology.

Its impossibleto to ENFORCE a ban.
Because al bans a based on lose of live basicly , but if the systemis set upin a way killing the user doesnot matter , the system can not be stoped,

and if it grows russia will use it to bypass any sanctions.

They can 'ban' it's use, but obviously people can and will still use it, but what they'll do is throttle it and make it against the law to use, which is not what we want. We want to be able to spend it freely on things we wish to purchase and governments banning it would be a big blow to adoption.
